BADRINATH NATIONAL HIGHWAY BLOCKED DUE TO LARGE BOULDERS FALLING IN AND TWO WOMEN DIED AFTER BEING PRESSED UNDER DEBRIS DUE TO CLOUD BURST IN PAABO NEAR BURANS GAON

On the Badrinath national highway near Bhanerpani the big stones and boulders with silt in large quantities are flowing on the roads resulting in tremendous difficulties in opening the road.

According to Atul Sati from Joshimath, an environmental activist the journey on the said road ” Badrinath highway” is not feasible and advisable. The police and local administration has advised the pilgrims and tourists to avoid travelling these days or assess the situation of roads first.

After receiving adequate feedback from the police control rooms and Tehsil headquarters the following is the status of the areas mentioned below : In Chamoli, it’s raining instantly, in Nandanagar mild rains,

at Karnaprayag the rains are of medium catagory, in Pokhri it’s a mild rains, in Tharali the rains are mild but continuous, in Gairsain it’s raining but not very heavily, and in Badrinath too it’s raining. The roads are closed at three places near Kanchan rivulet, Paagal rivulet, Bhanerpani, Raining village , Papdi Dharali and Saaldhar. Meanwhile in another tragic news two women have died after being pressed under the debris in Buraansi village, under Pabo development block in Pauri Garhwal after a cloud burst. This news couldn’t be spread in view of the Dharali massive ecological disaster.
