Autism Awareness Walk held at Nehru Park, New Delhi to Mark World Autism Awareness Day


To commemorate World Autism Awareness Day, the Indian Academy of Pediatrics, Chapter of Neurodevelopmental Pediatrics Delhi, in collaboration with IAP Delhi, organized an Autism Awareness Walk at Nehru Park, Delhi.
The significant event aimed to raise awareness about Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and advocate for greater acceptance, inclusion, and support for individuals with autism and their families.
The walk saw enthusiastic participation from Pediatricians, healthcare workers, parents, and other professionals, all united in their commitment to spread awareness and promote early diagnosis and intervention for children with autism.
Empowering slogans “ Enable not label “ . “ Autism is a different order not a disorder” charged the early morning atmosphere were raised during this autism March/ Awarenes day.
Speaking at the event, experts emphasized the importance of early identification, intervention, and community support in improving the quality of life for individuals with ASD.
The Autism Awareness Walk reinforced the message that understanding and acceptance can create a more inclusive society where children with autism can thrive.
The event concluded with a performance by the participants to promote acceptance and inclusion of neurodiversiity.
This initiative by IAP Delhi and the IAP Chapter of Neurodevelopmental Pediatrics Delhi reflects their ongoing commitment advocating for children with developmental needs and ensuring that they receive the necessary support to reach their full potential.
