Atishi on hunger strike for the second day on her PANI SATYAGRAHA , KEJRIVAL CONGRATULATES HER FROM JAIL
While the incarcerated Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejrival granted bail by the lower court has been with held at least for three days after the high court reserved its judgement , the Delhi minister in the presence of Sunita Kejrival and MP Sanjay Singh and other AAP minister Saurabh Bharadwaj sat on the indefinite hunger strike called Pani Satyagraha at Bhogal after garlending the photograph of father of the nation. Prior to going on the indefinite hunger strike at Bhogal, against the injustice dine by the Haryana government for not giving Delhi its due water share in the scorching heat to quench the parched throats of Delhites Delhi minister Atishi Atishi Bharadwaj along with Saurabh Bharadwaj, minister Delhi government, AAP MP Sanjay Singh n others went to Rajghat to pay their respectful tributes to Mahatma Gandhi. The chief minister of Delhi Arvind Kejrival send his best wishes to Atish from Tihar prison for undergoing indefinite hunger strike against the injustice done to the Delhi residents by Haryana ruled by BJP for not giving it their due water share. The best wishes were read by Kejrival’s wife Sunita saying that Arishi’s tapasya will yield positive outcomes underscoring the dire water shortage gripping several areas of Delhi under scorching heat waves. It may be recalled that the Delhi residents have been reeling under scute water crisis for the last month as Delhi is not getting its due water share by Haryana government with water supply squeezed to Delhites who are suffering badly for want of drinking water. Today is the second day of Atishi’s hunger strike. According to the latest news Delhi usually receives 1005 millions gallons per day but the Haryana government led by the saffron party has significantly reduced the Delhi’s water share during the scorching heat waves thus compelling over 3 million Delhi residents suffer badly for want of drinking water. The Delhi minister while speaking in the ongoing scute water crisis in Delhi said that Haryana has intensified the water crisis in the national capital after it stopped supply of over 100 to 120 MGD water to Delhi during the last few days.
