Association for Blind Persons Celebrates 216th Birth Anniversary of Louis Braille
The Association for Blind Persons, which runs a hostel for blind girls at Burari, celebrated the 216th birth anniversary of Louis Braille, the inventor of the Braille system, with great enthusiasm and fervor. Shri S.K. Shri Rajender Singh Yadav, the President of the Association, appealed to the Delhi government and civic society to support the blind girls in their education and other facilities. “We need the support of the government and civic society to provide better facilities and opportunities to our blind girls, so that they can pursue their education and other activities without any hindrance,” he said.

On this occasion, a souvenir was also released by Shri S.K. Bhandari, Vijay Shanker Chaturvedi, and Shri Rajender Singh Yadav, which includes the life of Louis Braille, his contributions to the blind community, and messages from several state governors and chief ministers for blind girls.
