Aspiring MBBS students urge the CM to open Almora Medical College’s MBBS session 2020-21 immediately

There is a growing demand for commencing the MBBS Course studies in Almora medical college, Uttarakhand from this year 2020-21 as the aspiring students fear of losing their year. There have been demands in this regard in social media but of no avail. In a letter written to the Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami the applicants Ashu from Haridwar and Borish Bishnoi from Adarsh Nagar Kashipur has appealed to him to commence the current MBBS session in Almora Medical College ( 2020-21) immediately, appreciating the CM for lowering the fees of government medical colleges pursuing MBBS from Rs 4 lakhs to merely Rs 1.55 lakhs.

Lauding the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami for being extremely active and instrumental in improving the prevailing condition in the Education department of Uttarakhand, the applicants wrote that being the representatives of the students they urge upon him on behalf of the entire students fraternity that he should in wider interest of the student community start the MBBS courses in Almora Medical College from the current session ( 2020-21) in order to help them as the counselling session is being started from 17 th November.

The worried parents and aspiring students are in a state of dilemma keeping high hopes on the CM said these students.

The MBBS students fear of losing their one year in case the needful is not done in the matter urgently said the letter sent to the chief minister.

There have number of retweets of this demand and a student Manish Kamboj tweeting : We are just making an obvious demand and even if it is being neglected then the government must be ashamed of itself with several others urging the to do the needful immediately. Another twiteretie wrote : Our state needs doctors ….Was Covid not enough to realise that we are lacking the medical facilities ?
