The Uttarakhand Kranti Dal candidate from Pauri Garhwal constituency , a journalist by profession and an activist fighting for justice to Ankita Bhandari since 18 th September, 2022 when the innocent 19 years old Ankita Bhandari of Srikot, Dobh village near Srinagar went mysteriously disappeared and subsequently brutally killed by pushing her in Chila Canal Rishikesh on 34 September by the son and cohorts of a BJP leader , has questioned the union home minister as to why he has not issued a single statement on the brutal murder of Ankita Bhandari during the last two years inside or outside parliament being the home minister of the country. He was addressing people at the Kotdwar Jhanda Chowk today accusing both the BJP and Congress for never coming to the rescue of the 19 year old innocent fragile girl.
Holding a Mike at Jhanda Chowk by the side of his vehicle addressing the locals at Kotdwar while strongly criticizing the former MP from Garhwal Tirath Singh Rawat of BJP, Ashutosh Negi said that he being their elected representative, not only had not uttered a single word in connection with Ankita Bhandari issue but had also not raised it inside parliament during the last two years.
What’s the use of these public representatives if they can’t raise their voice on such important issues for women safety and stringently punishing the guilty inside parliament.
He asked that the home minister is our custodian but unfortunately he didn’t’ uttered a single word in connection with the Ankita Bhandari case and today he is coming to Kotdwar to misguide the electorates said the UKD candidate.
Ashutosh equally accused the Congress party for not standing with Ankita Bhandari but when the time has come to capitalise this issue politically they are up in arms and raising it tooth and nail.
Ashutosh made a startling revelation saying that when we requested the Congress through Ganesh Godiyal to make Ankita Bhandari’s traumatised mother a united opposition candidate from Pauri Garhwal to strongly fight the ruling party candidate he said that this will amount to his political suicide.
Ashutosh while urging to extend their wholehearted support to UKD said that after elections you will see me with files as usual, running at Kotdwar court’s premises seeking justice for Ankita Bhandari.
Ashutosh Negi had been campaigning in his constituency with Ankita Bhandari’s traumatised mother and the UKD team and is leaving no stone unturned to mobile people on this pivotal issue demanding justice for Ankita Bhandari.
He will be establishing massive contact with the electorates meeting them door to door at Kotdwar seeking justice for Ankita Bhandari and blessings from the voters.
