As assured earlier Bhagwant Maan restored Old, Pension Scheme in Punjab as Diwali Gift
The comedian star turned MP and then Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Maan has given a special Deepawali Gift to Punjab by way of declaring implementation of Old Pension Scheme instead of the NPS launched in 2004.
There have been a long pending demand in this regard. Even the present finance minister of Punjab Mr. Cheema had assured during Punjab Assembly elections that if their party comes to power they will definitely do the needful and so had the chief minister Mr. Mann given word to the electorates.
By fulfilling this long pending demand he has come true to the people’s expectation.
In a video message released in social media Punjab CM Bhagwant Maan disclosed that he is giving a Diwali gift to the people of Punjab by implementing the OPS with immediate effect.
He catagorically said that lakhs of those who’d retired and in future likely to retire would be getting the benefit of the old Pension scheme.
Lauding Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal Bhagwant Maan said that his leader has said that don’t give fake n futile assurances if you can’t fulfil them. And fulfill the words given to the electorates at all costs. Hence this, Deepawali gift said Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann.
In a tweet Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal wrote : We had pledged the people of Punjab to implement the Old Pension Scheme in Punjab.
Today Bhagwant Maanji has fulfilled the pledge. Congratulations to the employees of Punjab.
The OPS should be implemented in entire country. If the Gujarat and HP people will give us an opportunity, we will implement it here as well tweeted Delhi CM.
The decision regarding old pension scheme was unanimously passed the meeting of Punjab cabinet chaired by the chief minister Punjab Bhagwant Maan.
