Arvind Kejrival led delegation with Delhi CM and MPs meet EC and present three thousand pages complaint against BJP for submitting wrong list to cut thousands of voters of SC,ST, backward communities
A delegation led by Aam Admi Party’s national convenor and former chief minister of Delhi Arvind Kejrival met the Election Commissioner today and submitted a written complaint comprising of three thousand pages complaining about thousands of votes being cut in Delhi at the behest of BJP.
After meeting the Election Commissioner the AAP Supremo thanked the EC for giving them appointment within a short notice and patiently hearing to their grievances including agreeing to fulfil their demands.
Addressing the media flanked by the Delhi chief minister Atishi Marlena Singh, Rajya Sabha vociferous MP Sanjay Singh, another Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha, several MLAs and ministers Arvind Kejrival accused BJP and its leaders of hatching a conspiracy in Delhi to cut thousands of votes of genuine Delhi electorates living in various constituencies of the national capital.
He said that being a voter means he or she is the citizen of the country.
Accusing the BJP for filing application in Election Commission for cutting the votes of genuine voters of Delhi in various constituencies, Arvind Kejrival gave constituency wise account of votes for which several BJP leaders / activists have filed applications with election commission to cut the names of genuine voters showing them as voters shifted or not residing.
He said that after our pressure on EC they finally agreed that an all party delegation with election commission officers will visit the house of every voter especially those whose name amd address has been given to EC by the BJP leaders to cut their votes and physically check the voters or enquire from from neighbours to vindicate their presence. He thanked the EC for accepting their request in this regard.
He accused the BJP leaders for forwarding the wrong lists of thousands of voters in various constituencies of Delhi to EC to cut their names majority of whom are from backward , SC, ST communities and minorities very much living in their respective houses but shown by BJO that they have shifted elsewhere.
Giving the details of the voters every constituency wise Arvind Kejrival said the BJP leaders and activists have submitted applications for cutting votes in Janakpuri numbering 6247, in Sangam Vihar – 5862, in RK Puram – 4285, in Palam – 4031, in Dwarka – 4013, in Tughlakabad – 3987, in Okhla – 3933, in Karawal Nagar – 2957, in Laxmi Nagar – 2147, in Mustafabad – 2051, in Vikaspuri – 1923, in Uttam Nagar – 1807, in Krishna Nagar – 1631and in Matiala – 1561.
