After being released from Tihar Jail by Supreme Court’s two judge bench comprising of Justices Dipankar Dutta and Sanjiv Khanna , the national convenor of AAP and Delhi Chief minister outspoken Arvind Kejrival acknowledged an enthusiastic response from his supporters outside the jail premises with thousands of supporters raising slogans like Jail ke Taale Toot Gaye, Kejrivalji Choot Gaye and Dekho Dekho Kaun Aaya, Sher Aaya Sher Aaya.
The chief minister was also received by the senior AAP leader and RS MP released recently from jail on bail – Sanjay Singh , Punjab chief minister Bhagwat Mann, ministers Gopal Rai, Saurabh Bharadwaj, Atishi and several MLAs like Mr. Pathak n others. The wife of chief minister Arvind Kejrival, Sunita who was looking after the AAP campaign in the absence of her jailed husband and IITian daughter accompanied Arvind Kejrival in the car to the residence where his father and mother blessed him.
Addressing the tumultuous crowds Arvind Kejrival said that as promised I am again in your midst and would be going to Lord Hanuman Mandir on Saturday to seek His blessings and thereafter in the afternoon addressing a massive public meeting and conducting a road show.
At Arvind Kejrival’s house premises the jubilant AAP workers burnt fire crackers and danced happily over his 21 days release.
The Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejrival while speaking to media said that this is the end of a dictator and that Lord Hanuman has showered His blessings on him outrightly.
According to political analysts the interim bail accorded to Delhi CM by Supreme Court has generated a new political spirit in AAP and INDIA leaders and workers not only in Delhi but across the country which will immensely help the non BJP opposition conglomerate INDIA gain tremendous mileage and win at the hustings including in the national capital where AAP has field four candidates and Congress three.
The BJP MPs had been winning on all the Delhi parliamentary seats since a decade.
Meanwhile while delivering instructions on the release of Arvind Kejrival the two judge bench of Supreme Court categorically said that he will not attend his office not sign any document but is allowed to campaign for his party candidates vigorously.
According to the point 17 of the order of Supreme Court while giving him interim bail it is written : We would reject the argument that the reasoning recorded by us in paragraphs 7,8, and 14 results in grant of privilege or special status to politicians. As observed in paragraphs 7,8 and 14, several peculiarities of the case have weighed with us. In Siba Shankar Das @Pinti vs State of Odisha and another , this Court accepting the appeal, deleted the condition imposed by the High Court stipulating that the appellant shall not be involved in any political activity , directly or indirectly, imposition of this condition, the order holds, would breach fundamental rights. No such conditions should be imposed. A co-ordinate Bench of this court in State of ANDRA Pradesh Vs Neha Chandra Babu Naidu in an appeal filed by the State , by an interim order has deleted the condition restraining the respondent therein from organising or participating in public rallies and meetings, thereby permitting him to participate in the political process . This petition seeking special leave to appeal is still pending mentions the Point 17 in the order.
Meanwhile, there have been lot of positive comments from AAP and INDIA leaders on the release of Arvind Kejrival for 21 days.

West Bengal chief minister and Trinamool Congress leader Mamata Banerjee expressed her pleasure over the Delhi CM’s release in interim bail writing on X : I am very happy to see that Shri Arvind Kejriwal has got interim bail. It will be very helpful in the context of the current elections. The Congress leader Pawan Khera expressed his optimism that now former chief minister of Jharkhand will also get due justice. He said we welcome the intervention of the Supreme Court in granting bail to Arvind Kejrival. We also hope that the prime minister gets enough time after June 4 when he becomes the former prime minister of India to introspect sitting in Sabarmati Ashram, the kind of politics he has indulged in.
The NCP veteran leader , former Maharashtra CM and former union minister Sharad Pawar said the interim bail given to Delhi CM Kejrival by SC means that Indian remains steadfast in the pursuit of Democracy.
The SHIV Sena Rajya Sabha MP and leader Priyanka Chaturvedi termed Kejrival getting interim bail by SC as a “big win”, saying further that the bid to silence opposition by the BJP is backfiring on them. We won’t be silent, we won’t bent, won ‘t give in, come what may. BHARAT is watching . India is winning. Jai Hind Priyanka wrote on her social media handle X. The PM leader Brinda Karat also expressed her happiness over Kejrival’s release via interim bail said : We welcome this decision of the Supreme Court. SC’s decision is a tight slap on the face of ED & central government. The central government has used ED as a political agency against the opposition party…When you arrest an elected CM what kind of level playing field is it?…”
Reacting on the bail the Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva while welcoming the SC’s decision said that AAP leaders are still misleading the people if Delhi adding further that sometimes even criminals are released on parole, and this is a legal process . So this doesn’t price that Kejrival who was the main culprit in the multi crore liquor scam, is innocent today said Sachdeva.
However, what is surprising to note is the fact that neither Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge , nor Rahul Gandhi has issued any reaction of Delhi CM Kejrival’s release including Sonia and Priyanka Gandhi.
It may be recalled that Arvind Kejrival is the first working CM to have been arrested on March 21 under PMLA act in charges of Liquor scam in connection with the Delhi government’s New liquor policy that has now been revoked. Arvind Kejrival has never asked for bail but has challenged his arrest as arbitrary and illegal saying that till date not a single evidence is found against him nor is there any money trail, though the ED denied this and has submitted several evidences in this case including statements of several AAP workers n leaders of Goa having been a party to this illegal deal regarding accepting a part money that AAP leaders go from Southern Lobby. While himself arguing in the Rouse Avenue Delhi Sessions Court after seeking permission from the judge Kaveri Baveja to speak , he had categorically denied all the charges of taking money from Southern Lobby and instead charged the BJP high command for accepting Rs 55 crores from one Sarat Reddy who turned approver against him. Kejrival had emphasised that not he but the BJP has taken the bribe money in its electoral fund and therefore a case should be registered against J.P.Nadda not him. When the judge Kaveri Baveja asked him to give in writing Kejrival had said let him speak in the court n he continued saying if he gives in writing it will be kept under the lid but since he is speaking the entire court n media is hearing. Actually this was the party of Delhi CM to highlight the matter that caught attention in various TV news channels as well as print media occupying headlines. He was sent to 21 days custody which further extended till 20 May. However, Kejrival can continued challenging his arrest in High court which was rejected , finally compelling him to approach the Supreme Court where after tremendous argumentation between the ED counsels and Kejrival ‘s , the SC two judge bench finally reserved its order and after two days giving Kejrival 21 days interim bail restricting him to govti his office or signing any government document big giving permission to campaign for the party and its candidates.
