Arrangements on full swing for PM’s Dehradun rally to be a grand success, but Harish Rawat says it won’t have any impact on the electorates of the state

The Uttarakhand government and the ruling party BJP including its chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the state BJP President Madan Kaushik and all the ministers including the other party office bearers and entire machinery is busy making suitable arrangements for the rally of prime minister Narendra Modi on 4 th December at Dehradun Parade ground, this being the first ever election rally of prime minister.

There are reports that he may make certain announcements as well in this historic rally where more than one lakh people are expected to participate. Prior to this rally the prime minister has last month visited Kedarnath Shrine to inaugurate several developmental projects including the renovated Samadhi Sthal of Adi Shankaracharya and his statue, worth several hundreds crores of rupees. Assuring that the Prime minister’s rally would be a historic one with lacks of people to attend it state BJP President Madan Kaushik said that his visit will inculcate a new spirit, confidence and enthusiasm in lakhs of BJP workers.

However, the Congress party and its leaders are least worried about the impact the prime minister’s rally would leave on the electorates of Uttarakhand saying that the prevailing all round skyrocketing inflation and miss governance in the state leading to anger and frustration among the people of the state will have no impact of the PM’s rally whose visit unambiguously reveal that since the state BJP apparatus in the state is extremely weak, the PM’s visit will hardly make any change except acceptance of the defeat of the BJP which has already been decided by the state’s electorates.

The former chief minister and chairman of the state election campaign committee Harish Rawat says that the prevailing skyrocketing price rise, increasing unemployment and not depositing 15 lakhs in the bank accounts of the countrymen as assured in 2014 , the people of the state can never be convinced to support BJP and they have already made up their mind to oust this government.

Moreover, the increasing interest of PM Modi in Uttarakhand clearly substantiate the fact that he has no confidence on the incompetent BJP leaders of the state and that’s the reason that he has to come here said Rawat. He said this is election time n you will see Modiji doing Sheersh Aasan here and making populist announcements but the people will hardly rely on them who have already made up their mind not to vote them.

Moreover, the Congress party is reaching each and every house in Mohallas, villages and the state and people are fully convinced to oust the present government added Harish Rawat.

The leader of the opposition Pritam Singh too said in the same lines adding that no amount of PM’s visits to the state would impact the voters as the people have already decided to get rid of this government which has betrayed them and not come true to their expectations belying their pre poll promises and commitments.

Meanwhile the former Congress president Rahul Gandhi is arriving at the state capital on 16 th December.

According to the vice president of Uttarakhand Congress Dhirendra Pratap, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is primarily coming to address a rally on India’s historic victory on Pakistan and formation of Bangladesh in 1971.

Kindly recall that in 1971, India, under the dynamic leadership of prime minister Indira Gandhi had scored victory over Pakistan by creating a new Bangladesh nation led by Shiekh Mujibur Rehman as it’s first prime minister.

Though this rally is connected with liberation and formation of a new country Bangladesh at the behest of India defeating Pakistan in a war when the then prime minister Indira Gandhi was reverentially pronounced as Ma Durga by the then leader of opposition Atal Behari Vajpayee, it would in a way be a formal launch of the election campaign of Congress party said Dhirendra Pratap.

Kindly recall that in Uttarakhand prime minister Narendra Modi has earlier been to Kedarnath in the month of November n on 4 th December he would be officially launching the election campaign of the BJP.

The Union home minister Amit Shah and party’s national chief J. P. Nadda had been to Dehradun, Chamoli and Udham Singh Nagar addressing public meetings n inaugurating a governmental projects. The party chief had deliberated with all the state BJP leaders, lawmakers and party MPs directing them to establish people to people contact at the ground level. The party seems to be in an enthusiastic mode gearing up to bring 60 plus seats as announced by its leadership.

The Union hone minister had then accused Congress leader Harish Rawat for appeasing the minority community by declaring them a holiday on Friday, challenged by Harish Rawat of quitting politics if the BJP leader n home minister could substantiate his charge against him by producing the ordinance issued in this regard, if any.
