Another scam in Uttarakhand in agriculture minister’s constituency Mussoorie and in Doiwala etc of Rs 1.5 crores. Agriculture minister Joshi orders probe !

A scam of Rs. 1.5 crores have been exposed in the Mussoorie constituency of the minister of Agriculture Ganesh Joshi under his own Agriculture ministry including in other blocks of Raipur and Doiwala etc where several officers in the concerned department under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sinchayi Yojana in collaboration with the company supplying equipments and materials for irrigation to prospective farmers have clandestinely by doing fake signatures of deceased and illiterate farmers siphoned off around R’s 1.20 lakh in the name of each farmer totalling to rupees 1.5 crores as on date.

Meanwhile, the cabinet minister of Agriculture from Mussoorie Ganesh Joshi has ordered a probe into this scandal.

The Congress spokesperson Garima Dasauni has strongly criticised the ruling party of Uttarakhand saying that when Congress party was in power these BJP leaders used to abuse Congress government but now when they are in power at the centre and in the state, calling them a double engine government such huge scams are taking place in the constituency and the department of the BJP agriculture minister Ganesh Joshi in a scheme of our prime minister, which is highly condemnable.

Dasauni said that the poor, hapless and suffering peasants of the agriculture minister’s constituency have been duped of lakhs of Rupees by forging their signatures and even money withdrawn from going government Exchequer in the name of deceased farmers.

This scandal was exposed after the information was sought from RTI enquiry which revealed fake signatures of peasants who are illiterate and some of them dead siphoning of Rs. 1.5 crores of rules involving 200 peasants.

According to the latest news, the farmers of Raipur block, Doiwala, Mussoorie and even Uttarkashi who hadn’t applied for any loan or facility under the Prime minister farmers’ Irrigation scheme, an amount of Rs. 1.25 lakhs tentatively have been siphoned off by the corrupt officials in league with the company concerned by way of taking the signatures in the name if each farmer totalling to Rs. 1.5 crores. This fact came to light through the RTI query and when the media persons reached individually to the affected farmers to know the reality behind this scam.

When contacted individually, the farmers, men and women, majority of them illiterate and some near and dear ones of the deceased revealed that they were surprised and shocked to learn about their forged signatures and an amount of Rs. 1.25 lakhs withdrawn against their names despite they neither receiving any irrigation related material nor money.

However, when the officers of the irrigation department or the company came to know about the scam being exposed through RTI, the irrigation pipes, water sprinklers and other equipments were literally thrown by the company officials to the residences or house compounds of the farmers in desperation, just to ensure that the material against the scheme have been given to the applicant farmers who complained to the authorities and media that they haven’t ever applied under the Pradhanmantri Sinchayi Kisan Yojana.
