Ankita’s dead body found this morning by SDRF from Shakti canal, Chila Power House. Sent for postmortem

After the extensive search by the SDRF team and Uttarakhand police the dead body of receptionist at Anantara resort – Ankita Bhandari has been recovered from the Shakti Canal at Chila Power House barrage. According to various versions the innocent girl of Srikot village, patti Nandalsiun, Pauri Garhwal district who was missing since September 18 for continuous six days and Revenue police authorities allegedly being complacent and negligent in tracing her was pushed in the river by the owner of the resort Pulkit Arya and two of his accomplices, a manager n other staff. All the culprits are currently behind bar and were thrashed yesterday by angered n infuriated mob while being taken to court. According to the reports the innocent girl Ankit has mysteriously disappeared from Vantara resort situated at Ganga Bhogpur precincts in Yamkeshwar block on September 18. After extensive search by her anguishing parents the complaint ( FIR) was lodged with the revenue police Patwari on 21 st September but unfortunately no action to trave the girl was initiated by the Patwari n other senior officers finally the case being transferred to regular police on 26 th September after the matter was highlighted by the journalist of Jago Uttarakhand Ashutosh Negi n Parvatjan for the first time n subsequently disseminated on social media. Since the matter was extremely highlighted in social media and news channels as well the DGP Ashok Kumar on the instructions of the chief minister directed the Pauri Garhwal district police officers to expedite the investigations and arrest the culprits forthwith. as a result the case was solved within 24 hours and the culprits including the mastermind, owner of the Resort Pullkit Arya arrested along with other accomplices. On indepth interrogation of the culprits by the police, it was revealed that the girl was either killed first n then thrown in the river or pushed to die while alive probably after outraging her modesty. There is another angle which reveals that since the girl knew the wrong doings of the resort n she strongly resisted while being raped etc she was brutally killed and thrown into the canal. However, the details of the reason about her death would be ascertained after postmortem report is divulged. After intense search operation in the canal by the SDRF team her body was finally recovered from the Shakti canal, Chila Power house in Rishikesh. The body has been handed over to the district police for viscera examination and the aggrieved parents informed. Meanwhile, yesterday on the strict orders of the chief minister the resort of the son of former minister in BJP government Dr. Vinod Arya, Pulkit Arya has been demolished n razed to ground. The chief minister has also ordered to commence probe on all resorts constructed in the state to examine where they were constructed as per norms or not. If found arbitrarily constructed the illegal resorts should be demolished said the orders. The erring officers in these illegal construction who patronised the resort owners will also not be spared. Meanwhile, there is tremendous outrage in the state with infuriated people demanding capital punishment to the human beasts.
