Ankita Bhandari’s parents demand CBI probe in a letter submitted to the chief minister.
The ball is now in the Uttarakhand government's court

The anguished and traumatised parents of Ankita Bhandari who had met the chief minister Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami have submitted a letter to him catagorically asking for a CBI probe after restarting an investigation in the matter exclusively to find the exact VIP behind this murder because of whom their daughters diabolical murder took place.
They say that had the VIP not been there in the picture and not demanded the extra services as in the chat of their deceased daughter she would have been alive today.
It may be recalled that few days ago the Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has in a press conference said that though the government is extremely serious on this issue but he will take any decision after meeting the parents of Ankita Bhandari.
He was responding to a question of one of the journalists in a press conference as to what hitch has the government to order the CBI probe to clear all the things absolutely.
Meanwhike the law experts say that the government is not entitled now to order the CBI enquiry into the matter itself as the Uttarakhand High Court is already seized of the matter. Either the parents of the deceased or the government through its IO can approach the Uttarakhand High Court requesting for a CBI probe said the senior Advocates Mr. Sharma and Vikesh Negi the other day by invoking 173 (8).
On the other hand the senior human rights activist and veteran SC advocate Collin Gonsalves and Ashutosh Negi have also said that they are trying to approach the apex court with a review petition in the light of the latest developments to reach to the definite conclusion of the case regarding the name of the VIP.
