Ankita Bhandari case gaining momentum. Almora and Nainital district Congress deputation meet DMs and present memorandum addressed to Ukhand governor demanding action against the alleged VIP named in the video
The Ankita Bhandari heart rendering murder case in which the son of a BJP leader, former state minister and brother of former state OBC Commission chief, now expelled from the party are involved and currently behind bars is gaining tremendous momentum again, particularly after the bereaved anguished mother has made a startling revelation in a video allegedly naming an RSS leader as the VIP in the case who is till now a shocking secret.
The mother had divulged the name of some Ajay as the said VIP with media disclosing him as connected to the saffron party.
What makes things even more worrisome for the state BJP these days, especially as the general elections are nearing is the fact that after the serious charges of the mother of the deceased, the state Congress chief Karan Mahara had also held a press conference yesterday announcing that the party is likely to organize a state level Nyay Yatra to demand justice for Ankita Bhandari obviously meaning that it will defame the saffron party at the grass root levels in the entire Himalayas state .
He had even accused the double engine state government for allegedly deliberately delaying the case to protect those responsible for the brutal murder of Ankita Bhandari with BJP leaders strongly refuting the accusations as baseless and pledging to give full justice to the deceased innocent girl.
The culprits of this case, three in number are currently behind the bars.
Meanwhile, the district Congress leader of Almora, Uttarakhand Bhupendra Singh Bhoj and Haldwani Congress leader Chimwal led separate deputations of district Congress activists to the district magistrates and presented them memorandums addressed to the Governor of Uttarakhand Lt. General Gurmeet Singh urging him to issue directives to the SIT to bring the organising secretary Ajay Kumar Agenda under the jurisdiction of investigations.
The memorandum also mentions about the harrasment of the advocates representing this case in the court to demoralize them and urged the governor to take serious cognizance of their request to safeguard them and ensure that this doesn’t happen in future.
The Almora district president of Congress and Haldwani district Congress leader accused the local lawmaker and the SDM of the area where Vanantara, resort exists, for allegedly protecting the culprits and those at the helm are maintaining silence instead of bringing the VIP to book who is the alleged mastermind behind the entire episode. Both the district presidents of Almora and Nainital announced that the Congress party will organise a state level protests and bring justice at the doors of the family of brutally murdered 19 year old Ankita Bhandari.

Kindly recall that yesterday the Uttarakhand Police had issued a clarification after the divulgence of the name of VIP in the video going viral in social media saying that till date during investigations and court hearings no name of any VIP nor any concrete evidence have been produced, hence this is unfortunate though the police also said that they are ready to cooperate with the family of Ankita Bhandari to the fullest and will leave no stone unturned to give justice to the deceased. Sounds hypocritical indeed say those fighting for Ankita Bhandari seeking justice.
