ANGERED YOUTHS AND WOMEN HELD PROTEST DEMONSTRATION IN FRONT OF UTTARAKHAND CM’S RESIDENCE DEMANDING BILL ON CONCRETE LAND ACT

Hundreds of students, youths and women representing various social organisations today protested outside the Uttarakhand chief Ministers residence and tried to break the strong police cardon. They climbed on police barricades and faced lathi charges. They were holding play cards in their hands demanding immediate implementation of a concrete land Act of Uttarakhand on the lines of Himachal Pradesh. The furious students, youths and women in large numbers Gheraod the residence of chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami raising anti government slogans demanding immediate implementation of bill on the concrete Land Act of Uttarakhand which is the need of the hour. It may be recalled that the Uttarakhand government is showing exemplary hurry for implementing the Uniform Civil Code to extract political mileage but is not showing any interest in implementing the concrete land act which is the need of the hour as outsiders have already purchased large tracts of lands in Uttarakhand under the false pretext of opening tourism related industries etc after the former BJP state government under the chief minister ship of Trivendra Singh Rawat has opened the ceiling on the 12.5 acres of land allowing the entrepreneurs and industrialists buy as much of land they can in Uttarakhand thus adversely and negatively impacting the already diminishing the demography of the state. In Himachal Pradesh land purchase for outsiders is not permitted whereas in Uttarakhand outsiders have made Uttarakhand a money minting machine by buying huge tracts of lands at cheap prices and thereafter selling them to outsiders and even undesirable elements at higher prices on large scale thus destroying the demography of the state. There have been tremendous and repeated demands by the angry youths , students, women and even senior citizens from the government to implement the concrete land act in the Himalayan state but the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has done nothing than forming a high powered committee to misguide the people of Uttarakhand and instead of working on concrete land act preferred to work on the UCC which is major beneficial to extract political mileage as compared to the goodness of concrete land act. Today majority of the Uttarakhand lands have been sold to outsiders, builders, industrialists and people with suspicious background and the state’s demography is at stake.

Meanwhile the vice president of Uttarakhand Congress Dhirendra Pratap has issued a warning to the government that if the Land Act is not implemented in Uttarakhand at the earliest he will sit on fast unto Death in Dehradun to compel the government to do the needful.
