An institution of Bollywood nonagenerian Dilip Kumar is no more

A veteran ageing thespian loved by his millions of fans having worked in nearly sixty Bollywood movies in his entire career of more than five decades nonagenerian Dilip Kumar is no more. He breathed his last at Mumbai’s Hinduja hospital this morning as informed by his secretary Faisal Farouqui in his Twitter handle. Farouqie tweeted : With a heavy heart and profound grief, I announce the passing away of our beloved Dilip Saab, a few minutes ago. We are from God and to him we return wrote Farouqie on the veteran actor’s Twitter handle. Kindly recall that 98 year old heartthrob of millions, especially those born in fifties n sixties, Dilip Kumar is not an individual thespian of Bollywood but is considered was an institution in himself who literally ruled the silver screen during his era as a solo hero in about fifty outstanding films. Referred and popularly known as an an everlasting hero of Indian films and philanthropist Yusuf Khan Aka Dilip Kumar was not keeping good health for the last several years being looked nicely by a caring wife Saira Bano for whom Dilip Sahib was a Kohinoor. He married the then prominent actress Saira Bano in 1966 who was 22 years younger than him and a die hard fan of his. There had been hoax news about Dilip Kumar in the past with Saira Bano refuting the baseless news of his death. He was admitted in Hinduja Khar, non Covid hospital after suffering from bilateral pleural effusion diagnosed earlier this month. He was admitted in Hinduja hospital on June 30 for the second time during this month after complaining for breathlessness. Yusuf Khan aka Dilip Kumar made his debut in Mumbai film industry from a movie called JWARBHAATA in 1944 with Mughale Azam n Devdaas etc beating all records in Bollywood hitting theatres all over India. His last film was Quila produced in 1998. His passing away is indeed an end of an era. May his soul rest in peace.
