AN IMPRESSIVE PLAY “GHUGUTEE AUR KAW ” ENACTED AT LTG, AUDIENCE GLUED TO THEIR SEATS TILL THE LAST

Few eminent personalities also felicitated with KALASH KALASHREE SAMMAN

A fascinating and precision oriented play in Kumaoni dialect based on the popular Uttarayini festival of Uttarakhand was enacted at LTG theatre on 16 th January enthralling the audience by its mesmerising musical traditional dances, an outstanding story line, colourful traditional attires , melodious songs and perfect light arrangement. The play titled ” GHUGHUTI AUR KAW” was presented under the aupicies of KALAH KALASHRI ( REGISTERD) a social cultural organisation UNDER the stewardship of leading theatre activist, Uttarakhandi actor Khemanand Pandey aka Khemda, committed to financially, socially, culturally and educationally help the physically, visually and mentally impaired doing a great philanthropic contribution for several years in the past.

In addition to this the other socio health related contributions of Kalash KALASHRI are to organise health camps in the remote areas of Uttarakhand providing free medical treatment, medicines and support to the patients living in interior remote villages. It also felicitated distinguished personalities, budding outstanding talents of various fields in journalism, arts, culture and theatre every year including giving a credible platform to young artists who are devoid of avenues to pursue artistic talents in view of the non availability of accurate artistic platforms. In nutshell the socio cultural organisation KALASH KALASHREE is committed to promote and preserve the local dialects of Uttarakhand including its enriched traditions, cultural legacy and heritage the credit for which goes to Khemanand Pandey aka Khemda , it’s chairman and the entire dedicated team. On 16 January several outstanding personalities of Uttarakhand in the national capital and Uttarakhand from different fields were felicitated with a Kalashree Kalashree Samman for their outstanding contributions. The awardees were HAYAT SINGH RAWAT for his outstanding contribution in authoring several books and literature, SUNIL NEGI, editor, UKnationnews for journalism for being active in journalism more the last 45 years, PURAN BHATT, unanimously elected Pradhan for Social service, GEETA GUSAIN NEGI, eminent actress of Uttarakhand’s movies and theatre activist, Neha Agri, renowned mesmerising singer, visually impaired, ( a highly talented girls with tremendous singing abilities) and Sanjay Garg, Secretary of Garhwali, Kumaoni and Jaunsari Academi, Delhi. The interesting play “GHUGHUTI aur Kaw” kept the audience glued to their seats through the duration of one and a half hour with everyone lauding the performance if its artists with mesmerising background music and that if it’s interesting folklores. The play was directed by Khemanand Pandey aka Khemda.
A Souvenir of Kashmir Kalashree Samman was also released on this ocassion by renowned personalities i.e. Pooran Chand Kamkpal, Sanjay Joshi, Susheela Rawat, Khemanand aka Khemda, Khushal Singh Rawat, Hema Pant, Charu Tiwari, Manoj Chandola, Sunil Negi, Dinesh Falura, Chandra Mohan Papnai, Senior IRS Chandra Bhallabhji. The event was commenced by lightening of the lamp of these eminent personalities as well.
