An IFS officer Jitendra Rawat dies after committing suicide in Chanakyapuri


An Indian Foreign Service officer , Ministry of External affairs Jitendra Rawat age 35 years has committed suicide on Friday morning by jumping from the roof of his house in Chanakyapuri. He jumped from the roof of the residential flats of External affairs in Chanakyapuri where he was residing. According to the reports he was undergoing treatment for depression. No suicide note was found at the accidental spot nor any chances of foul play appearing. According to the release of Ministry of External affairs : An officer of the Ministry of External Affairs passed away in the morning of March 07, 2025, in New Delhi. The Ministry is providing all possible assistance to the family and is in touch with the Delhi Police. The Ministry stands with the family in this hour of grief and difficulty. Further details are not being released bearing in mind the need to respect the family’s privacy in this time of bereavement.” said the MEA statement.
