Among five bravehearts martyred in Kathua ambush is a young 26 yrs old Adarsh Negi of Tehri Garhwal, Salutes
The entire nation is in shock over the martyrdom of five bravehearts ( security personnel) on Monday bringing the total martyrs to Seven in a week in strife torn Jammu and Kashmir. The ambush of five security personnel that took place in Badnota village of Kathua is one of the biggest attacks on Army personnel. Among the five martyred bravehearts was youthful Rifleman Adarsh Negi resident of Thati Dagar village of Tehri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand. There is shock wave in entire Tehri Garhwal and Uttarakhand on knowing about the tragic death of Negi in the dreaded ambush by Kashmiri terrorists obviously backed by Pakistan.
Along with Adarsh Negi other bravehearts who were martyred in Kathua are Anand Singh from Rudraprayag, Kamal Singh n Anuj Negi from Pauri, Garhwal, and Vinod Singh from Tehri Garhwal.
The union defence minister Rajnath Singh while paying his condolences and tributes on the tragedy in Kathua said I am deeply anguished at the loss of five of our brave Indian Army Soldiers in a terrorist attack in Badnota, Kathua (J&K). My deepest condolences to the bereaved families, the Nation stands firm with them in this difficult time. The Counter Terrorist operations are underway, and our soldiers are determined to usher in peace and order in the region. I pray for a speedy recovery to those who sustained injuries in this dastardly terror attack wrote Defence minister on his social media handle X.
The union minister of state for Highways and Road Transport, MP from Almora Ajay Tamata while expressing his deepest condolences on the Martyrdom of our braveheart Adarsh Negi wrote on his handle X : The news of the martyrdom of Shri Adarsh Negi, son of District Tehri Garhwal, Uttarakhand, in the cowardly attack by terrorists in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir is extremely sad. May God grant the virtuous soul a place in his feet and give strength to the bereaved family to bear this lightning strike.
The chief minister of Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami in his condolence message to all the martyrs of Garhwal Rifles in Kathua ambush expressed his immense anguish and prayed for the departed souls to rest in peace with prayers for the speedy recovery of the injured. He lauded their exemplary supreme sacrifice while fighting the terrorists bravely and said the entire nation stands with the bereaved family at this critical moments. Om Shanti

Heartfelt tribute to our brave martyr who displayed indomitable courage and bravery to protect Mother India. Paying her tributes and deepest condolences while sharing the irreparable grief with the bereaved families Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said :
The news of the martyrdom of four brave soldiers and injury to many soldiers in the cowardly terrorist attack in Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir is extremely sad. May God grant peace to the departed souls. The country will always be indebted to the martyrs for this supreme sacrifice. I pray to God for the grieving families and the injured soldiers. The entire nation is united against violence and terrorism and unanimously condemns this anti-humanitarian act.
Rahul Gandhi in his condolence message and pray for the recovery of the wounded bravehearts wrote on X : The news of the terrorist attack on Indian Army vehicle in Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir is extremely sad. While paying my emotional tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the motherland, I express my deepest condolences to the bereaved families. I pray for the speedy recovery of the injured soldiers. These cowardly attacks on our army are highly condemnable. The fifth terrorist attack within a month is a grave blow to the security of the country and the lives of our soldiers. It may be recalled that four Army bravehearts including a junior commissioned Officer n a Jammu and Kashmir constable fell to the bullets of terrorists in an ambush on a military patrol truck in the remote village of Badnota in Kathua district in which six soldiers were also injured. This has been a month of increasing terror attacks by dreaded terrorists in the Jammu division commencing with four attacks on June 9, 11 n 12. Twenty six year old energetic, n enthusiastic Braveheart had joined Garhwal Rifles to serve and protect the nation in the year 2018. His father Dalbir Singh Negi was doing farming in the village farms. When he joined the Indian Army , Garhwal Rifles Adarsh Negi was pursing his BSC as a second year student. He completed his intermediate from Piplidhar Intermediate College. He was the youngest among his three brother n sisters.
Kindly recall that Security agencies were continuously receiving inputs for the last few days about attacks on security forces on the death anniversary of Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Burhan Wani. In such a situation, there was high alert in Kathua district also. And unfortunately this Ambush happened in which five bravehearts of Garhwal Rifles were martyred.
