American augur Machine went out of order in the night, work of drilling and placement of steel pipes to resume today after it’s rectified ?

There were news and environment of exuberance all over yesterday late evening when news revealed that the 41 trapped workers inside Silkyara – Daandalgaon tunnel would be finally evacuated safely on Friday morning after twelve challenging days of trapping but all hopes have been dashed today when news about the American Augur Machine going out of order once again came. According to a journalist stationed at the tunnel site giving information about current development from ground zero Ajit Rathi has written on social media site X that when the American Auger machine stops, it is as if the heart has stopped, the pulse has disappeared and there has been a surgical strike on the body’s energy. Yesterday it closed with the onset of day and has not started till now. The foundation was set overnight and now the cutting work is going on. Hopefully it will roar soon and on the 13th day 41 laborers will definitely come out. It may be recalled that hundreds of Indian Army, NDRF, SDRF , experts, engineers, geologists and PMO officials etc from ONGC, the company involved in the tunnel construction works and several other organisations are aggressively on the job to ensure that the 41 trapped laborers are evacuated at the earliest. The chief minister of Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami yesterday spoke to the trapped workers telephonically or through walkie talkie and assured them that they will be evacuated at the earliest. He also enquired about their health and the prime minister Narendra Modi’s concern. According to the latest news the American Augur machine which has gone faulty the previous night is being repaired and the work of drilling and placing of 1 diametre pipes will be resumed . Till now, more than 47 metres have been drilled and steel pipes fixed. It’s a matter of just ten metres which remains to be drilled and pipes fitted. The teams, are on the job with tremendous amount of dedication and commitment. If all goes well the trapped labourers will be safely evacuated today reveal sources. God willing. Close to 47 metres drilling has already taken place at the tunnel at Silkyara, #Uttarkashi. Once the impediments are removed, rescue could happen swift & fast. Hopes & prayers for the 41 men, their families/friends & rescue teams today on Day 13!
