Though the hopes, entire India was banking on the outstanding Indian woman wrestler Vinesh Phogat who unfortunately couldn’t make it due to her body weight going up by just 100 grams though she had defeated the three eminent women wrestlers including the number one Gold medalist of Japan – another wrestler, the first timer, just 21 years old Aman Sherawat has by the dint of his hard work, dedication, grit, determination and dexterity defeated the Puerto Rio’s wrestler in 57 kilogram category bagging another Bronze for the country, securing 13 points against his rival’s five points. Aman Sehrawat, the first entrant in Olympics Indian wrestler fought this match so efficiently and with grit , confidence and perseverance that he made his rival wrestler of Puerto Rico Darian Toi Cruz badly tired thus dominating on him during the entire match and winning points after points reaching up to 13 against his rival’s merely five points.
Aman Sehrawat of Haryana has won the Bronze for the very first time in his first Olympics’ attempt under the guardianship of his grandfather and mentorship of Ravi Dahiya , the medal winner in Tokyo Olympics in Wrestling whom he considered his God Father.
Aman Sehrawat’s parents have died when he was a child and was brought up by his grandfather.
After bagging today’s Bronze medal in Wrestling India has so far won five Bronze and one Silver medal in shooting, wrestling, hockey and Javeline throw.
Meanwhile , President Droupadi Murmu congratulated Aman Srivastava writing on X : Heartiest congratulations to Aman Sehrawat on winning the bronze medal in the men’s freestyle wrestling event at the Paris Olympic Games.
