Almora district Punchayat president Uma Bisht dies after being on ventilator for more than a month after injury in her head
The former president of Almora district Panchayat and wife of Uttarakhand Dwarhat legislator Madan Singh Bisht, Uma Bisht has breathed her last at a private hospital in Noida where she was on ventilator for the last more than a month after brain haemorrhage due to her sudden fall.
Her husband Dwarhat MLA Madan Singh Bisht was by her side during her treatment in a Noida hospital where she had gone on Coma losing her senses due to immense clotting in her brain, being incessantly on ventilator.
Uma Bisht was very popular in Almora for her immense contribution in the development of Almora and being proactive in the welfare and well being of the people.
Senior Vice President and spokesperson of Uttarakhand Congress, Dhirendra Pratap has expressed deep grief and condolences over the demise of Mrs. Uma Bisht, former President of Almora District Panchayat and wife of MLA from Dwarahat, Madan Singh Bisht. Describing Smt. Uma Bisht as a Congress leader committed to the sustainable development of Almora, Dhirendra Pratap said that her untimely death has given a big shock to the Congress. She was a very popular leader of Almora. He has prayed to God to give strength to MLA Madan Singh Bisht and his family to bear this grief in this hour of sorrow.
