A sensitive news is coming in from Bhatinda , Punjab from where the Punjab police has nabbed a tailor originally from Haridwar, Uttarakhand working as SPY for Pakistan for the last several years. What is interesting and worrisome to note here is the fact that this tailor was running his business from inside the Bhatinda Cantonment area from where he used to clandestinely pass on the sensitive information to Pakistani agencies or individuals through his sources. He has been arrested by the Cantonment police after relevant credible evidence regarding his phone numbers etc were traced and sources revealed about the passing on of the sensitive information connected with the Army etc.
According to the latest news the accused Rakib son of Iqbal was the resident of Haridwar and was working as tailor in Cantonment area Bhatinda for the last several years.
Some Army documents etc were found inside his phone and two of his mobile phones have been confiscated and sent to forensic experts for investigation.
The case has been registered against him after an Army officer of Bhatinda Cantt found his activities under suspicion.
The case under relevant sections of Spying has been registered against him and subsequently arrested for indepth interrogation.
The SSP level officer and other senior agency officials are investigation the case to find out the exact link of this spy with the Pakistan’s agencies.
Since the matter concerns immense sensitivity the officers are not in a position to part with the information which can’t be made public in the interest of national security.
The investigating agencies are trying to find whether he is a real Spy or involved after being honey trapped. The details are awaited.
