THE Chandrayaan 3 that landed on the South Pole after the 40 days journey becoming the first country in the world with the Russian LUNA 25 crashing before touching the moon’s surface, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) disclosed that the rover has successfully travelled a distance of about eight metres with its all payloads on propulsion module and rover performing nominally.
Giving this information on X, PREVIOUSLY TWITTER ISRO informed that all the planned Rover movements are being verified while it ( Rover) has successfully traversed the distance of eight metres with Rover payloads LIBS and APXS turned on. All the payloads on the propulsion module, lander module, and rover are functioning nominally added ISRO X message. Earlier today it informed that the solar panel of the Chandrayaan 3 enabled the rover to generate power. ISRO’s message read : A two segment ramp facilitated the roll down of the rover and the SOLAR PANEL enabled the rover to generate power. It added : Here is the rapid deployment of the ramp and solar panel took place, prior to the roll down of rover. The deployment mechanisms, totalling 26 in the CH 3 mission, were developed at UR Rao Satellite Centre ( URSC ISRO) wrote the ISRO on X.
Meanwhile the prime minister Narendra Modi will arrive directly to Bengaluru from Greece being there after South Africa BRICS summit on early 26 th morning to congratulate the ISRO chief Somnath and all the scientists and engineers of his dedicated team at the ISRO’s Telemetry Tracking and Command Network at Peenya.
THE TRUE HEROES OF ISRO CHANDRAYAAN MISSIONS
The prime minister is going to Bengaluru ISRO space centre to personally congratulate each and every scientist on the global success of the soft landing of Chandrayaan 3 at South Pole of Moon being the only country to achieve this outstanding record.
According to the latest news the Bengaluru traffic police will be keeping the route of PM’s cavalcade free of any traffic from early morning 4.30 AM till 9.30 AM and PM Narendra Modi will be given a rousing welcome at HAL airport where all the arrangements are in progress.
Kindly recall that this is the third attempt of Chandrayaan 3 that proved successful by landing at South Pole. In 2019, though the Moon vehicle had successfully entered the orbit but it got crashed while landing and prime minister Narendra Modi who was personally present to boost the morale of the space scientists and technocrats viewing the entire operation from being in their midst had embarrassed and cajoled the then ISRO chief K. Sivan who was literally crying on the failure of the landing of moon vehicle 2 on 22 July, 2019.
The Chandrayaan mission 2 could succeed because of a minor error in 2019 in the presence of prime minister at the space centre. However, on the success of Chandrayan 3’s soft landing in Moon’s South Pole , former ISRO chairman Sivan said he is extremely thrilled and happy to see the successful soft landing of Chandrayaan 3 on the South Pole of the Moon congratulating the ISRO chief Somnath and his entire team of dedicated scientists.
