Alaknanda magazine’s 52 years of successful complition celebrated in Delhi with tributes paid to its founder Swaroop Dhaundiyal
On the occasion of the 92 nd anniversary if the founder publisher and editor of Alaknanda Quarterly hindi magazine and its completion of 52 successful years of publication a commemorative function was organised at the precincts of Shri Badrinath Mandir at Kidwai Nagar,New Delhi in the presence of eminent dignitaries. Those important dignitaries who graced the ocassion were the chief guest,the chairman and MG of formerly Hydro Power Corporation and currently the Supreme Advertising private limited. Rawat is an entrepreneur of reputed with engineering background , a philanthropic in Uttarakhandi circles helping one and all especially giving monthly pensions to hundreds of widows and senior citizens in Uttarakhand and building schools to impart the poor children quality education including sports facilities. Other dignitaries present in this ocassion were Lalit Mohan Singh Negi, five time Resident Awards winner, eminent literateur and author of several books Dr. Harisuman Bisht, eminent literateur and celebrated author Dr. Pankaj Bisht, Mr. Lalit Dhaundiyal, Madan Mohan Sati,edi cordinator to CM in Delhi, Mr. Lakhera, post, Sunil Negi, eminent journalist, Director Press Club of India and President , Uttarakhand Journalists forum, Baswanand Dhaundiyalji, Mahesh Chandra editor Alaknanda, Ramesh Ghildiyal, literateur and author, Mani Dhaundiyal, Sylvem chef and entrepreneur, Maheshanand Dhaundiyal, Singer and Musician of reputed, Prem Bahukhandi, Congress leader, Prabodh Dobhal, Vinod Nautiyal, entrepreneur and activist , Dhruva Hotels and resorts, Dr. Nirmala Negi,poet and writer , Broken han Upreti, GHS general secretary Pawan Maithani , Dinesh Dhyana and others. The speakers lauded the contribution of late Swaroop Dhaundiyal , publisher editor ud Mini Uttarakhand in Delhi and hys contribution in scripting several plays and said that now his son Vinod Dhaundiyal is carrying forward his legacy with commitment, determination, dedication and perseverance despite facing all odds and financial constraints. The dignitaries were honoured with a shawl each by its editor Mahesh Chandra and the magazine’s latest edition was presented to each and every participation completing the fifty two years of its successful publication.
