Ajay Bisht panel’s vision document released. Assures of opening membership of Garhwal Hiteshini Sabha
As the date of the elections of the biggest representative body of the inhabitants of Garhwal in Delhi, Garhwal Hiteshini Sabha ( Regd) established in 1923 is nearing , voting to take place on 7 th November, both the panels led by Ajay Singh Bisht and Shailendra Negi have geared up their respective campaigns on social media as well as meeting the electorates in various parts of the national capital giving promises of their commitments to take the biggest social organisation and Garhwal Bhawan to new heights. Strategies are being devised and hectic preparations on, to defeat each other.
Never, before has the elections of GHS been so hectic and strategic as now especially the social media playing its pivotal role with supporters of both the groups accusing each other on incompetence and befooling the electorates.
In Delhi there are more than four thousand life and active members of Garhwal Hiteshini Sabha and usually less than fifty percent of its members vote during elections.
The voters are scattered as they are living in different localities of Delhi, extremely difficult to establish personal contacts except either reaching them telephonically or through social media. In some cases they are called at a definite place in phases to convince them to vote for them. It’s indeed tedious task. On the day of voting, the contesting candidates find it more convenient to catch voters and convince them however, the fact remains that majority of the voters already make up their mind.
Moreover, their are some leaders associated with GHS who had manipulated good number of votes in their favour permanently by making their relatives, family members and village residents members of this Sabha by paying for their membership in bulk and ferrying them in their personal transports on the day of voting.
Such voters have no business with the activities of the GHS but are only meant to vote in favour of the candidates asked for by their mentor. Such manipulators/ leaders carrying bulk votes are enticed by every group coming into the fray. Meanwhile, the panel number 1 led by presidential candidate Ajay Bisht and general secretary Dwarika Prasad Bhatt has on Wednesday released their vision document comprising of twenty three points, promising to come true to the expectation of the electorates if voted to power in Garhwal Bhawan in the ensuing elections.
The menifesto among other things assures, opening the membership of Garhwal Hiteshini Sabha to expand its area of influence and bring as much as inhabitants of Garhwal Uttarakhand into its fold across spectrum from within the community.
The menifesto also promises to expedite the court proceedings by engaging competent lawyers enabling vacation of the Kabza at Garhwal Bhawan, including giving adequate free counselling, training, coaching, scholarships and medical treatment to the poor, hapless n lower middle class students n inhabitants living in Delhi and those coming here from Uttarakhand. The vision document is, self explanatory promising to establish a memorial in honour of the valiant soldiers who martyred themselves in wars and borders fighting enemy forces and, dreaded terrorists. A meeting was held on Wednesday at Hotel Metro Plaza in Paharganj Delhi and strategy devised in the presence of good number of panelists and their supporters addressed by its presidential candidate Ajay Bisht and several others contestants.
It may be recalled that there are two panels in the fray in GHS elections, one led by Ajay Bisht and Dwarika Bhatt and another by Shailendra Negi and Pawan Kumar Maithani.
