After the Janakpuri tragedy of Kamal Dhyani dying in a pit, another 32 year old man dies after falling in a drain at Rohini

Delhi is called the construction capital where everyday digging and renovation works related to laying sewer lines, drains , underground water pipelines and residential construction work is always in sequence with hundreds of open drains, pits and gutters lying unattended and without adequate covers or signboards leading to several deaths of innocent civilians.
The local lawmakers and councillors rarely pay special attention to these pits, open gutters or drains not thinking that they could be fatal and that this is their basic and primary responsibility.
You will however, find their umpteen number of colourful well designed boards with their names and pictures boasting of their rhetorical achievements.
Sounds shocking that we boast of so much of hitech India in the offing becoming a superpower and World leader but in the national capital territory and the NCR innocent people , youngsters die extremely painfully by falling in the pits and in the sewers due to poisonous gases but the authorities concerned hardly take the call and ensure that such fatal accidents are not repeated in future. They rate their costs for Rs 10 lakhs merely by paying financial compensation to the bereaved families.

Within the last few days three back to back fatal tragedies of such drastic nature have taken place in Noida and Delhi due to the utter negligence and dereliction of duty of the senior and junior officials.
While in Noida a young engineer fell with his car in the drain and finally sinked in it with no authority coming to his rescue and save him, who met his sad end in front of his anguish father who was helpless and the deceased was screaming ” Papa save me, I don’t want to die. Shameful and excessively heartwrenching.
Similarly just four days ago in Janakpuri Delhi a 25 years old young boy working in HDFC bank as an Assistant Manager while driving his motorbike heading towards his home in Kailashpuri plunged in a deep seven metres pit and died crying for help with no body coming to his rescue whole night.
The aggrieved brothers went from one police station to another covering six police stations but their FIR was not registered nor did the sleuths help them to trace the boy whose dead body was found in a pit with a motorbike on him the other day sending the entire family in acute trauma.
As if this was not enough just yesterday in Sector 32 ROHINI , another young man of thirty two years died after he fell down in an open drain because there was no lid on it.
According to the latest news the 32-year-old man died AFTER he fell into an open drain in Rohini’s Sector 32 area, near Mahashakti Kali Temple.

The name of the victim is Birju Kumar who originally hailed from Samastipur, Bihar…He had fallen into the open drain at night…We informed the Administration, and they came here and took away the body,” said one of the local person.
