After tearing of the uniform of Forest Daroga n attacking enployees by mining mafia yesterday, a broad day light robbery takes place at BOB today at Khatima

After being sworn in as the 12 th chief minister of Uttarakhand on 23rd March there have been two incidents in Khatima, which may probably bring bad name to his government and expose the local police for its total inefficiency to maitain law and order and control increasing crime.

While yesterday on 5 th April there were news reports of the mining mafia active in Khatima under Lohiaghat police beat not only attacking the forest Daroga and some forest guards but had also tearing his uniform having no threat of the law and order.

A case was registered under various sections by the local police and the mining mafia involved in this act namely Mannu Dhami was arrested.

But what is most worrisome is that just another day, on Wednesday a bank was looted in broad day light in Jhankat area of Khatima, Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarakhand putting the police in the state of jeopardy.

According to the SDM Khatima the dacoity was committed in broad day light today with about four robbers running away with around four lakh 84 thousand rupees, with no trace of them till now.

The looted bank is Bank of Baroda and the police authorities are completely awestruck now busy with the investigations, digging the information from the staff of the bank as well.

Sounds aweful that the constituency represented twice by the state CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, having lost this time at the hands of Congress candidate Bhuvan Kapri, witnesses a bank dacoity in broad day light after an attack by illegal mining mafias on forest Daroga and guards least threatened by the law of the land and police authorities, a day before.

These two incidents of prevailing lawlessness in Khatima assembly constituency represented by the state CM indicates about a clear picture of the deteriorating law and order situation in Khatima n Udham Singh Nagar say the opposition party leaders n workers.

This lawlessness with police behaving like mere spectators with two incidents, one of tearing of the uniform of Forest Daroga and thrashing the forest employees and another a broad day light robbery taking place one after another, unambiguously speaks of the prevailing lawlessness in Khatima and police proving to be ineffective in maintaining law and order.
