After superannuation Lt Gen N.S. Raja Subramani Appointed Military Advisor to NSCS

Lieutenant General N.S. Raja Subramani, PVSM, AVSM, SM, VSM, has been appointed as the Military Advisor to the National Security Council Secretariat (NSCS). He superannuated last month as Vice Chief of the Army Staff (VCOAS) after an illustrious military career spanning nearly four decades.

Commissioned into Eighth Batallion The Garhwal Rifles in December 1985, Lt Gen Subramani has distinguished himself as an officer of exceptional academic and professional calibre. He holds a Master’s degree from King’s College, London, and an M.Phil. in Defence Studies from the University of Madras.

Over the course of his service, he has held varied command, staff, and instructional appointments across some of the country’s most challenging operational theatres. His expertise in strategic and tactical matters, particularly along India’s Western and Northern frontiers, has been instrumental in enhancing operational preparedness and strengthening national security frameworks.
