Strange things happen even in old age but for celebrities it hardly matters, rather they are accepted and lauded for their second marriages with young partners with quite an age difference.

When the first and original superstar Rajesh Khanna was married to the super duper hit Bobby fame actress Dimple Kapadia during his hey days, his millions of fans were tight lipped seeing the age difference.

Kaka was then 16 years elder to Dimple Kapadia. She was 16 and Kaka more than 32.

There must be several such instances in the cases of affluents and celebrities but the recent declaration of the second marriage of the famous international cricketer, a product of prestigious St Stephens College Arun Lal with her quite younger girl friend Bul Bul Saha of Calcutta aged 38 years at the age of 66 years, both pledging to take care of his first ailing wife Reena and living together, has thrilled and shocked many.

Just a day ago, once a famous cricketer having played in Delhi, Bengal, Ranji Trophy and several test matches Arun Lal and his would be second wife Bulbul Saha has revealed about their marriage plans, surprising all.

Studied in Delhi’s Hart Court Butler school and thereafter completing his graduation from Hindu college, Delhi University, Arun Lal famous for taking maximum tickets in Ranji Trophy n playing in good number of test cricket, had settled in Bengal bidding good bye to Delhi, falling in love with a 38 year old friend Bulbul Saha, finally agreeing to tie a knot with her on 2 nd May.

This marriage at the age of 66 with a friend of 38 years, having an age difference of 28 years reminds us of two previous marriages of two other celebrities viz former CM Madhya Pradesh n fmr outspoken general secretary of Congress and member CWC Digvijay Singh and eminent Bhajan Samrat, a mesmerising singer of devotional songs and renowned musician Anoop Jalota.

While a national level controversial Congress politician Digvijay Singh married Amrita Rai, the then Rajya Sabha TV anchor, a divorcee by then, twenty two year younger to him, in 2015, Anoop Jalota had married her student and daughter of his friend 32 year old Jasleena Matharu a year or two ago.

Both these marriages had hit news paper headlines surprising one and all.

It may be recalled that some pictures of the Congress leader Mr Singh with her second wife had also become viral in social media then, making love with each other, creating lot of controversy.

While, the second wife of Digvijay Singh had in a tweet then had confirmed that she has already sought divorce from her first husband, the relations of Mr. Singh with his first wife also got strained having well grown up daughters and sons.

According to the news then, his MLA son from Madhya Pradesh had not reconciled with his estranged father over his second marriage with Amrita Rai, the then TV Anchor, quite younger to him. Eminent devotional singer Anoop Jalota and Jasleen had appeared in Yes Boss show and declared about their marriage.

Speaking to Bollywood Hungama then Jalota had said that Jasleen is a well behaved girl. He had also said to a daily that he wouldn’t have married Jasleen even if he was younger as her modern dressing and make up would not have been lauded in my family culture. Hum to Dhoti Kurta Wale hain said he then. But finally both of them married after she was in his company as her student learning music under his direction and he being her teacher, surprising one and all.
