After Pritam Singh, former Congress chief of UTTARAKHAND Ganesh Godiyal included in a three member Rajasthan Screening Committee !
The central Congress high command has this time given important responsibilities to both the former UTTARAKHAND Congresa chief Pritam Singh Chouhan and Ganesh Godiyal. While Pritam Singh has been assigned the responsibility of Chattisgarh observer, Ganesh Godiyal has been made the member of the screening committee for Rajasthan state assembly elections. Screening committee selects candidates for various state assemblies and recommend their tickets. What is significant about this screening committee is that it has merely three members and Godiyal is one of them. The chairman of this three member committee is Gaurav Gogoi, son of former Assam CM Tarun Gogoi and deputy Congress leader in Parliament. The other member is Abhishekh Dutt. The exofficio members of this committee are, the Rajasthan PCC president Going Singh Dotsara, chief minister Ashok Gehlot, AICC In charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhava, former deputy CM of Rajasthan and MLA Sachin Pilot, CP Joshi amd secretaries in charge. It may be recalled that after the Congress party’s bad defeat in UTTARAKHAND in the year 2022 with BJP repeating for the second time, the party high command had asked Godiyal to resign. He was then the UTTARAKHAND Congress chief and during the entire election he led the campaign along with the then caretaker CM Harish Rawat amd Pritam Singh. However, Godiyal was behind the scene after his resignation was sought by the Congress needs high command. But after giving him a good responsibility the high command seems to have exhibited trust on him and his leadership. What is important in all these developments is that the senior Congress leader and former CM of UTTARAKHAND who previously was AICC general secretary of Assam and Punjab is today politician with no significant responsibilities as compared to his juniors who had been accorded important assignments in Rajasthan and Chattisgarh.
