After Kejrival’s denial not to have any alliance with Congress in Delhi, first Congress list released . Former MP Dikshit to confront Kejrival from New Delhi
After Arvind Kejriwal’s absolute denial of having any electoral understanding with Congress party despite both AAP and Congress very much being the important constituents of India National Developmental Inclusive Alliance, the Congress party high command has today declared the first list of its twenty one candidates. The list includes few prominent names of former three term MLAs n minister in Delhi government including the Delhi Congress chief Devendra Yadav. But one name of Sandeep Dikshit , son of former late Delhi CM Sheila Dikshit and former East Delhi MP needs specific Al mention as he is contesting from New Delhi constituency to probably face the three term Delhi CM Arvind Kejrival who is the sitting lawmaker from this assembly constituency. The Delhi chief of Congress earlier Uttarakhand Congress and observer n in-charge Devendra chief is contesting from Badly from where he had been the MLA twice earlier. The former minister of power and civil supplies during the Congress tenure in Delhi Haroon Yusuf is contesting from Ballimaraan assembly constituency dominated by Muslim voters from where he had been three term MLA but list to AAP candidates since 2013. The former Delhi Congress chief Anil Choudhary has been given ticket from Patparganj which used to be the constituency of former deputy CM Manish Sisodia who has been shifted to Jangpura for the fear of losing it. This constituency has the majority votes of Uttarakhandies. Another SC, ST leader of Congress and three term MLA from Sultanpur Majra during the rule of Congress for for fifteen years has been included in the list from the same constituency.
The second list of Congress is expected within two days reveal sources. The AAP has already released its two lists which has the names of three / four former Congress and BJP MLAs having defected to AAP recently and rewarded with tickets cutting the tickets of sitting AAP MLAs numbering seventeen.
