After Kedarnath chopper tragedy, an Army chopper crashes in Arunachal Pradesh killing five. 4 bodies recovered ! RIP
While a day before yesterday a helicopter crashed two kilometres away from Kedarnath at Garur Chatti killing seven pilgrims including a pilot, another army helicopter crashed at Siyang district in Arunachal Pradesh on hilly terrains full of green trees killing four to five persons with four dead bodies recovered so far. According to a tweet of the Union Minister Kiran Rijjuju he informed : Received very disturbing news about Indian Army’s Advanced Light Helicopter crash in Upper Siang District in Arunachal Pradesh. My deepest prayers. He also posted the video of the Army helicopter crash with fumes and smoke coming out of cohesive forest in a hilly terrain. According to the latest news, quoting Army sources the tragedy of the Army helicopter occured near Sinsing village 25 kilometres away from Tuting Headquarter. The dead bodies of four persons have been recovered while the rescue operation to find the fifth person dead or alive was going on on full swing.
According to the PRO Defence Tejpur, Assam, press release the search and rescue parties had reached the accident spot. It further added that the joint SAR of Army and Air Force was launched which included 1 MI 17, 2 ALH and 3 Columns of the Indian Army. A Total of 5 personnel were on board. The SAR team has recovered the mortal remains of five Indls out of five till now.
