After clearance from the apex court, centre allocates Rs 2095 crores to Delhi Dehradun Expressway that will decrease the journey to Dun from 5 to 3 hours

The union minister of Transport and national Highways Nitin Gadkari have been less involved in useless political rumblings and away from controversies except for few in the past than being engaged in various developmental projects at the pan India level. The four lane over ambitious all weather road project in Uttarakhand inaugurated by prime minister four years ago, the work of which is going on in full swing is the brainchild of Gadkari with another newly built national Delhi Dehradun Expressway which after contruction will lessen the time of journey from 5, n a half years to merely three hours n even less. Sounds surprising n beyond belief, but yes this is true.

According to the latest news floating in the construction work of the Delhi Dehradun Highway had been stalled for several months after the environmentalists complained of several abnormalities with lot of trees etc to be cut having approached the supreme Court. There was tremendous controversy over this project for the past several months but the dispute n controversy now seems to be over after the apex court accorded the necessary permission.

The union minister Nitin Gadkari has finally accorded the clearance allocating a massive budget of nearly Rs 21 hundred crores. According to sources the construction work of laudable project that will decrease the journey time from more than five hours to merely three hours, some say 2.5 hours will commence soon to be completed at the earliest.

Just two days after the prime minister is arriving at Noida to inaugurate a 30 thousand crore worth of Never Airport the foundation of which was laid in 2020.

The Dehradun Delhi expressway is to be built via Dehradun Saharanpur economic corridor to Delhi got the formal sanction of Rs 2095 crores from the central government. Dehradun being the capital of Uttarakhand will be tremendously benefitted after the construction of this expressway including those going to Dehradun from Delhi and vice versa.
