On every alternate day such dreaded incidents of human kills by the maneaters are making news in the media with forest and wild life department being of no remedy to provide relief and safety to human beings from these dreaded carnivores.
Just two days ago Virendra Singh son of Ganga Singh was brutally killed by maneaters in the precincts of Dalla village in Rikhnikhal area of Pauri Garhwal with the victims head etc badly smashed and attacked with bloody jaws with his profusely bleeding dead body found in the nearby bushes.
Similarly in another dreaded tragic maneater attacked a teacher in Bhaidh Gaon (Simli) Nainidaanda block, under Pauri Garhwal district with his badly mutilated dead body with head missing has been found in the nearby bushes.
When this dreaded incident occurred the wife and children of the deceased retired teacher had gone to Dehradun and was staying alone in a secluded house.
According to the station house officer of Dhumakot Mr. Tiwari , the retired teacher Ranvir Singh Negi, aged 75 years was living in a secluded house away from village nearby.
On Sunday, his badly mutilated dead body with blood oozing out was found about hundred metres away in the bushes giving a clear cut idea that that maneater on prowl for human flesh must have dragged him into bushes and then mutilated him.
It is, reported that just a day before it has taken the life of a senior citizen woman.
Riskhnilhal these days and several other districts of Uttarakhand in Garhwal and Kumaon divisions especially the Jim Corbet areas have become maneater prone with several dreaded incidents of human kills by maneaters happened in the recent past.
The body of the retired teacher was in such a bad condition that it’s photo is not worth printing. The head was severed from the body.
One can imagine the magnitude dreaded attack which gave no opportunity to a septuagenarian to resist the hungry man eater. RIP.
According to a latest news the Pauri district administration has imposed curfew in several villages of Rikhnikhal and Dhumakot Tehsils in view of several dreaded incidents of maneater attacks in the evening and night times. The curfew has been imposed from 7 in the evening to 6 AM in the morning. However, there had been several attacks during day time too but these incidents are comparatively more during evening hours. From 13 to 15 April there have been two human kills by predators in Rikhnikhal and Dhumakot areas, hence the DM Ashish Chouhan and SDM Lansdowne Akadh Joshi were constrained to take this decision of imposing curfew during night hours.
forest mafia with the help of their nexus with political leaders destroying flora and fauna of the region like never before. hence the wild animals are attacking human beings. there are a number of such incidents when other than leopard or tiger, normal wild animals have become aggressive.. forests are their home but as I am saying for a long, govt is not serious about forests and the consequences are very tragic and worsening day by day. IN MY AREA VAN PANCHAYAT MUNOLI , DANYA ALMORA , FOREST LAND IS BEING DESTROYED EVERY DAY FOR COMMERCIAL ACTIVITIES AND SALE , ENQUIRY IS BEING DELAYED OR STOPPED EVERY TIME COMPLAIN IS DONE,,
