Actor Armaan Kohli sent to 14 days judicial custody by NCB after finding Cocaine at his house in Mumbai
The bollywood actor and son of prominent director B. R. Kohli, Armaan Kohli a Yes Boss contestent has been remanded to 14 days judicial custody after his arrest by Narcotics Control Bureau sleuths in Mumbai on acount of unearthing a small amount cocaine from his residence on Sunday. The NCB has conducted a raid in the house of actor Armaan Kohli on Sunday on a tip off under the narcotics department’s ongoing operation titled as “Rolling Thunder” to bring to book drug peddlers and narcotics suppliers rather the drug cartels operating in Mumbai especially in Bollywood.
Kindly recall that since the mysterious death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput in Mumbai, the narcotics control bureau had pinned down several drugs peddlers and suppliers after getting clues from the deceased actor’s friends and Bollywood actors, arresting lot of them with the operation still going on. This arrest of Armaan Kohli may be the sequel to those continued investigations reveal sources.
Armaan Kohli was also arrested earlier when his co- contestant of Yes Boss 7 had lodged a complaint at Santa Cruz police station for hitting her with a mop. However, he was later on released by the Santacruz n Lonawala police after cases were lodged against him for physical assault as well as sexual harassment.
According to Sofia Hayat, Arman had come to her after being released to seek apologies for his wrong doing etc. However, she was aghast to learn about Armaan being arrested for keeping Cocaine in his house caught by the NCB during the raid.
Talking about Armaan’s arrest by the Narcotics Control Bureau the Yes Boss contestant said : Hearing the news about the drugs being in his house, now I wonder if his apology was for real. But I think he meant it at the time, though yet again his behaviour currently is exhibiting his lack fir his position added Sofia in an interview. She added that those who consume drugs hurt them inside. She wished that Armaan overcomes whatever darkness and pain fills his heart.
It mau be recalled that son of prominent Bollywood director B. R. Kohli, Armaan Kohli started his career in films by doing a leading role in his father’s movie VIRODHI followed by several other movies like Dushman Zamana, in 1992, Anaam 1993 and Aulaad Ke Dushman, which unfortunately failed at box office. His another movie in 1997 with Sunny Deol and Sunil Shetty proved to be a commercial flop namely Kahar. After a hiatus of five years he acted in Jaani Dushman, n Ek Anokhi Kahani but this too failed in box office. In Baazigar and Di Wale Dulanhiya Le Jayenge he was replaced by Shahrukh Khan and Parmeet Sethi becoming block buster hits. In September he participated in Yes Boss n was arrested on his co contestant Sofia’s complaint to finally been sent to judicial custody for 14 days by NCB.
