This first list of AAP candidates is significant because several candidates in this list are from other parties viz BJP and Congress this AAP cutting the tickets of its two term MLAs. For instance from Chattarpur the former three term lawmaker of BJP from Delhi assembly who has recently defected to AAP have been accorded ticket by Arvind Kejrival from from Chattarpur cutting the ticket of its sitting MLA though he had already defected to BJP.
Similarly Ram Singh Netaji who got ticket from Aam Admi Party from Badarpur had been MLA twice earlier once as an independent MLA and second time from Bahujan Samaj Party.
The AAP candidate from Laxmi Nagar dominated by Uttarakhandi voters is BB Tyagi who had earlier contested from here on BJP ticket . He has defected to AAP recently and was obliged by former Delhi CM Arvind Kejrival. From Seelampur Choudhary Zubair Ahmed who recently defected to AAP with his wife, a sitting Congress councillor was obliged by Arvind Kejrival forthwith.
Zubair Ahmed is the son of Mateen Ahmed, the fourth term MLA earlier from here during the then CM Shiela Dikshit’s tenure. The candidate from Seemapuri assembly constituency Veer Singh Dhingan was also the MLA from Congress for three terms during Shiela Dikshit’s tenure before 2014.
He recently joined hands with AAP in the presence of AAP suprimo Kejrival who obliged him with the party ticket. Sumesh Shokeen who got ticket from Matiala was also three term MLA from Congress during the tenure of of the then CM Delhi Shiela Dikshit.
He too joined AAP recently and was duly rewarded by Arvind Kejrival. The AAM Admi party central high command after its recent survey has come to the conclusion that though the AAP government has dine tremendous good work in health, water, power, education and other sectors but its lawmakers have not come true to the people’s expectation due to their inexperience and blotted image.
Hence it’s concentrating on bringing better and experienced former lawmakers from other parties to change faces and countering the anti incumbency at the constituency levels.
