The newly sworn in tenth chief minister of Uttarakhand Tirath Singh Rawat has shown a solid example of being intolerant towards corruption proving to be a people friendly chief minister by suspending an assistant engineer and junior engineer of public works department Dugadda, in Pauri Garhwal district today. The names of the suspended assistant n junior engineers are Ajit Singh and Anil Kumar respectively. The action has been taken by the chief minister Tirath Singh Rawat on the basis of a revelation of the impending corruption in the Rathuadaab Duggadda Motor Road’s below standard construction ( Dambarikaran). A vedio regarding the use of substandard low quality material used in the mettling work of this road shared by an AAM Admi Party activist Devesh Aadmi in social media which went viral finally reaching the chief minister’s eyes and ears who got the matter verified and found the revelation to be correct this suspending the erring corrupt engineers of Lok Nirman Vibhag stationed at Dugadda.
The chief minister Tirath Singh Rawat issued urgent orders for the suspension of these two engineers of Dugadda with immediate effect sending shivers in the spine of corrupt officials of public works department of Uttarakhand.
It may be recalled that this is just a tip of an iceberg about an incident of corruption revealed. There are allegedly hundreds of such substandard constructed roads in the interiors of Uttarakhand with people complaining very often but of no avail. This latest action by the chief minister against corrupt officials will definitely send a strong message across spectrum in Uttarakhand especially among corrupt bureaucracy to mend themselves lest ready to face suspension or termination from services.
