AAP supremo Kejrival thanked the Punjab MLAs for extensively campaigning for him in Delhi
The meeting of the Punjab MLAs and ministers convened by the former Delhi chief minister and national convenor of AAP Arvind Kejrival in Delhi have been held successfully, with the Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann and all the AAP MLAs solidly standing behind him. The meeting was convened at Kapurthala house , near Hotel Man Singh in New Delhi where Arvind Kejrival thanked all the MLAs and ministers including Bhagwant Mann for devoting their time in Delhi elections and putting their best to ensure party’s victory. Addressing the media Bhagwant Mann said that not a day was left when the AAP leaders including him had not met the election commissioner in Delhi due to the BJP leaders’ malpractices and violation of code of conduct n election norms as they have been distributing money, gifts like shoes, bedsheets, spectacles to the Delhi electorates this openly violating the elections norms. He said in Punjab we faced four elections but we never practised anything that was against the law or elections commission norms.
He said that now since results of Delhi elections have come out we honour the mandate of the people and shall unitedly play the credible role of the opposition. He said that a huge investment is coming to Punjab in the near future. In a message on X Bhagwant Mann posted : Whenever we have fought elections, we have fought on the basis of work, but the opposition has crossed all limits to do injustice in Delhi. Yet the verdict given to us by the people of Delhi is head on.
According to AAP all the Punjab MLAs arrived in the meeting including the ministers and Punjab CM. The former Delhi CM thanked all the MLAs and ministers for extensively campaigning in Delhi. During the meeting several ministers and MLAs said that we have worked hard but we fully respect the mandate of the Delhi electorates. During the election campaigning they spoke about the works done in Punjab, including giving 50,000 government jobs, free 300 units of power, opening 850 ‘Aam Aadmi Clinics’ on the lines of Delhi’s ‘Mohalla Clinics’, and buying a private thermal power plant etc.
No talk about the change of chief minister of Punjab etc happened in the meeting and till yesterday the BJP leaders’ saying that Kejrival has convened this meeting to make him the Punjab CM has gone flat with Punjab CM Bhagwant Maan in more spirits and full of enthusiasm saying that Delhi will come with more flying colours in near future.
