AAP MP and UP in- charge Sanjay Singh’s meeting with SP leaders Mulayam Singh and Akhilesh and possible tie up in future, may go against AAP in Uttarakhand say political analysts
The recent meeting of vociferous Rajya Sabha MP and incharge of Uttar Pradesh Aam Admi Party with Samajwadi party supremo and former CM Mulayam Singh Yadav and his son Akhilesh Yadav wishing birthday greetings to the veteran leader and holding talks with Akhilesh Yadav for possible political tie up in the ensuing elections may send an adverse signal in Uttarakhand affecting its political prospects say news analysts.
In a meeting with Samajwadi party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav and Akhilesh Yadav in Lucknow the AAP leader Sanjay Singh had discussed on possible tie up with Samajwadi party to counter the ruling Bhartiya Janata Party.
In a tweet AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh has posted his pictures with Akhilesh Yadav and his father and tweeted : Had a fruitful meeting with the national president of Samajwadi Party Akhilesh Yadav to get rid the state of Uttar Pradesh being misruled by BJP. Also discussed like minded issues and future strategy. Extremely grateful to Akhilesh Yadavji tweeted Sanjay Singh.

It may be recalled that it was during the chief ministership of Samajwadi leader Mulayam Singh Yadav that hundreds of men, women, youths n children from Garhwal region headed for the historic Red Fort Rally to demand separate Uttarakhand state were allegedly raped, killed and badly tortured in Mujaffarnagar, Rampur Trijunction.
The then district magistrate Anant Singh and the DGP Police Bua Singh who had now retired from their respective services working under Mulayam Singh regime had allegedly ordered for firing on the innocent Uttarakhand movement peaceful activists killing several of them and raping women activists, the case of which was fought in Supreme and Allahabad high court for several years.
Instead of punishing the guilty police officers and bureaucrats the then government accorded them promotions, never punishing the guilty of this grave crimes reminiscent of Jalianwala Bagh massacre of 1919.
On 2nd October since 1992, Gandhi Jayanti is observed as black day in Uttarakhand and entire country where Uttarakhandies live in majority, demanding punishment to the culprits of this obnoxious incident, but of no avail.
Even after 21 years of BJP and Congress rule in Uttarakhand with 11 chief Ministers being changed in merely twenty years, no government has ever worked hard and seriously to fight this case and punish the guilty, finally those responsible going scot free.
The inhabitants of Uttarakhand are badly annoyed, angered and exasperated with Samajwadi party and its patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav during whose regime this black chapter happened.
Therefore political analysts say that the AAM Admi Party’s efforts to forge an alliance with Samajwadi party in Uttar Pradesh to defeat BJP may give handle to saffron party and Congress to use the opportunity to remind the emotional inhabitants of Uttarakhand about the black Chapter of 1994 at Mujaffarnagar and AAP’s handshake with them, that is bound to go against the AAM Admi Party in the ensuing elections.
It may be recalled that AAP is contesting on all the 70 seats of Uttarakhand with the Delhi CM having announced number of concessions and freebies to the people of Uttarakhand, naming Colonel Ajay Kothiyal as its prospective CM candidate.
Yes, joining hands with SP in UP may have reverse effects in Uttarakhand.
