The AAP MLA from Okhla Amanullah Khan who was called by the ED and interrogated for twelve long hours yesterday has been released at midnight though the Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh had yesterday while speaking to the media and posting on social media platform had written that he is going to meet the family of Amanatullah Khan as he is being arrested by ED. The AAP Delhi minister Aatishi Maarlena had accompanied him to Amanatullah’s house. According to latest news Amanatullah Khan said that he was questioned by the ED on the directives of Supreme Court for 12 hours yesterday night and I answered all the questions perfectly after being released thereof. Khan was allowed to leave the ED after 12 to 13 hours of grilling reveals the latest news reports. Earlier the AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh had said that the ED is registering a false and fabricated case against Khan and is being arrested. The Waqf Board chairman has also released a video on social media platform X saying that he is being arrested but the work of his constituency Okhla will go on as usual and he is being asked to give a statement against Arvind Kejrival. He didn’t do it so is being harassed since the last 1.5 years. The case of money laundering registered against the Okhla MLA comes after the CBI investigations against him earlier and three Delhi police complaints registered against him. There are charges of money laundering in connection with appointments of 32 persons in Delhi Wakq Board through unfair means, allegedly renting the Waqf Board properties etc including a case pertaining to purchase of a house of Rs 36 lakhs etc registered by ED.
