AAP faces a huge jolt as its transport minister Gehlot resigns as minister and also from primary membership of the party
The Delhi elections are due to be held in the month of February and ruling Aam Aadmi Party , BJP and Congress leaders are extremely busy in convincing the Delhi voters of their respective outstanding achievements. The Padyatra season has also arrived with Congress busy in its Nyay Yatra type Padyatra in entire Delhi and AAP’s former chief minister Arvind Kejrival busy hold walkathons in Delhi’s various constituencies drawing huge crowds assuring the electorates of freebies. The BJP is busy highlighting its achievements of the central government banking in its usual religious polarisation oriented campaigning including coming down heavily in AAP and trying to created defection within AAP. The former leaders like Kapil Mishra and Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal has already become the BJP cronies charge the AAP leaders. Meanwhile, the AAM ADMI PARTY has suffered a huge setback today when its important minister Transport Kailash Gahlot has rendered his written resignation and also from the primary membership of the party. The minister has written a strong letter to Arvind Kejrival tendering resignation both from the party and the ministership. In a hard hitting letter Kailash Gahlot wrote : Let me start with sincerely thanking you for having given me the honour of serving and representing the people of Delhi as MLA and minister. Expressing his regret and sharing the challenges being confronted by AAP Gahlot said challenges from within , to the very values that brought us together to AAP, political ambitions have taken over our commitment towards the people leaving many promises unresolved. He wrote : Take the example of Yamuna which we had promised to transform into a clean river, but never got around to doing it. Now, the Yamuna river has become even more polluted than before. Apart from this there are many embarrassing and awkward controversies like the Sheesh Mahal which is making everyone doubtful about our credibility whether we have deviated from our promises being an AAM Aadmi. Gahlot also blamed the Delhi government having failed to deliver in view of the intercine squabbles in the party this making the party and government crippled to deliver wrote Kailash Gahlot. He concluded his letter writing : I have started my political journey with commitment to the electorates of Delhi to serve them and would continue to do so but find myself not fit to several them by being in the party. Hence I tender my resignation from the primary membership of the party wrote outgoing transport minister Kailash Gahlot. Previous to writing to Arvind Kejrival Gehlot wrote to Delhi CM quoting as minister for Transport in Delhi government.
