AAP dissolves it state unit in Uttarakhand n declares Ashok Gulati as its new state chief ?
After a crushing defeat of AAM ADMI PARTY in Uttarakhand in the recently held assembly elections with its chief ministerial candidate retired colonel Ajay Kothiyal also being defeated badly not getting a single seat despite announcing lots of freebies, the national convenor and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has dissolved the entire organisational structure in Uttarakhand with a news emerging that a new party chief namely Ashok Gulati has been named its new president. The AAP’s chief Uttarakhand observer, MLA from Delhi Dinesh Mohaniya made disclosed the news about dissolution of AAP in Uttarakhand.
Though Uttarakhand has proved to be a huge flop in Uttarakhand elections securing nearly 4% votes but it definitely proved to be the game spoiler for the Congress party where the highly optimistic Congress and its leaders suffered a huge setback getting just 19 seats and losing for the second time, breaking the myth that the ruling party in the state never wins for the second time.
However, what is interesting here is that while just nine years old party, led by Arvind Kejriwal has drawn a blank in Uttarakhand, in Punjab it secured an absolute majority getting 92 assembly seats, giving a huge blow to ruling Congress party which was suffering from acute internal squabbles in both the states.
Declaring itself to be the third alternative in Uttarakhand the AAM ADMI PARTY has now declared that it will re organise its entire organisation from the ground level to state and pose a direct political threat to both ruling BJP and Congress in 2027 assembly elections.
Political analysts say that since AAP had better chances of victory in Punjab, their entire machinery and leaders concentrated in Punjab with Kejriwal n deputy Delhi CM Manish Sisodia holding few roadshows in limited constituencies not able to derive any political capital despite announcing lots of freebies and concessions.
Kindly recall that Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal had announced free electricity upto 300 units on monthly basis, 5000 Rs unemployment allowance, one lakh employments every year, dole of Rs 1000 on monthly basis to every women above 18 years etc.
The party had contested on all the 70 assembly seats for the very first time but had proved to be a flop show, though a great game spoiler for Congress.
