Aam Admi Party charges centre of demolishing J. J. Clusters of Delhi. Assures to stand with the JJ cluster people at all costs!

The AAP ministers Atishi and Saurabh Bharadwaj today held a press conference in New Delhi levelling charges against the central government regarding demolition of the Jhuggi Jhompri clusters of various localities of Delhi especially during the chilling winters.

The vociferous minister in Kejriwal cabinet Atishi Bharadwaj referred to a high level meeting called a a senior officer in PMO two days ago in which top officers of the various land owing agencies were present viz DDA, MCD, Railways etc who were directed to rid Delhi of the slum clusters said Delhi minister Atishi at the press conference.

As the general elections are round the corner the season of accusations and counter accusation has started.

Referring to the recently held prestigious G 20 summit in Delhi while the minister in Delhi government charged the central government for damaging slum cluster near Dhaula Kuan destabilizing hundreds of poor families bringing them on road another minister Atishi said that the BJP is so against the JJ cluster population that in order to keep these poor people away from the international VVIP’s visiting Delhi like US President Joe Biden and other PMs etc entire clusters were coveted with the green cloth showing the pictures of the same to the media.

Accusing BJP for first giving promises to the JJ cluster people for settling them permanently before elections, post elections the saffron party leaders forget about their promises and instead demolish their clusters leaving them of no where said Delhi minister Atishi.

While pointing out the demolition of the Jhuggi Jhompri cluster near the Sunder Nursery by the land and development office under the jurisdiction of ministry of housing and urban affairs , minister Atishi said that about 1000 to 1500 poor people are badly affected by these demolitions most of whom were rag pickers, street venders and maids working in the nearby government flats.

Criticizing the present government for demolishing the Jhuggi Jhompri clusters of Delhi instead of constructing in situ houses under the PPP scheme at the same place as is the policy of the government, Saurabh Bharadwaj said that there is a fixed policy that the land owning agencies will instead of demolishing the Jhuggi and destabilising the poor people should built multi story housing complex in the same land and accommodate these poor dwellers there itself instead of sending them fifty kilometres away to BARELY and Bavana etc especially during the chilling winters.

Bharadwaj gave instances of the demolition of Jhuggi jhopdi clusters in various areas as well as the pucca houses destabilising thousands of people and their school going children in Tuglakabad, Ghosia area etc saying that if this trend continues the people living at the lowest ebb of the society will be literary wiped out in the national capital. He appealed to built houses for them in the same areas to mould the future of the children of the poor instead of destabilising them in the name of beautifying Delhi. Both the AAP ministers assured the Jhuggi Jhompri clusters that their government will stand with them come what may and fight for their rights in courts, with central government and on roads through protests and other democratic ways. It may be recalled that the BJP led NDA government and AAP in Delhi are always at loggerheads with the Delhi public the ultimate victim.
