AAM AADMI PARTY’s CM face files nomination. There seems to be AAP’s undercurrent in some seats in UK say political analysts
The Aam Admi Party’s chief ministerial face of Uttarakhand on whose shoulders the prestige of Aam Admi Party rests with elections of the Himalayan state schedule for 14 th February has today filed his nomination from Gangotri Assembly in Uttarkashi district. Before filing of the nomination papers at the district magistrate’s office in Uttarkashi, Colonel Ajay Kothiyal visited the Kashi Vishwanath Mandir in Uttarkashi.
After paying obeisance to Lord Shiva in the ancient temple at Uttarkashi the cavalcade of the prospective chief minister of Aam Admi Party declared by Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal reached the district magistrate’s office to file the nomination papers.
On the way there were hundreds of local populace and party activists n local leaders raising slogans hailing the prospective CM face of AAP and people showering petals from their roof tops and balconies said Prithvi Rawat one of the proactive AAP youth leader accompanied other activists from Delhi including the Delhi AAP Prakosht chief Brijmohan Upreti.
The Aam Admi Party’s chief election strategist and a force behind AAP in Uttarakhand Colonel Ajay Kothiyal’s ticket was declared for the very first time by the Delhi deputy CM in a public meeting at Uttarkashi.
The other tickets were declared later on in three phases. This is the first time that the AAM Admi party is contesting in all the seventy seats of Uttarakhand with almost all the contestants being new faces, even some from Delhi active in social fields.
The two candidates viz Digmohan Singh Negi and Gajendra Chouhan contesting against BJP n Congress heavy weights from Chowbattakhal and Srinagar seats are from Delhi and politic novice never been in any party earlier.
The AAM Admi Party’s proactive presence in the election scene of Uttarakhand has indeed made the election of 2022 a triangular contest, with political analysts and various election surveys predicting five to 8 seats n some 2 to 4 while a channel Devbhoomi giving it 21 or more seats with Congress coming in third position. In the surveys of ABP n C opinion polls there is neck to nect contest, while the Times now survey gives BJP a clear cut victory with more than 40 seats.
However, pre election surveys had never been true altogether, with majority of them failing in the past elections. The AAM ADMI PARTY is primarily banking on announcement of freebies like three hundred unit of electricity free of cost for consumers on monthly basis, including Rs. 5000 as unemployment allowance to youths coupled with one thousand rupees delivery on monthly basis to every women of the family above 18 years and creation of one lakh jobs in a years time after coming to power. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has also vowed to improve the lot of schools, hospitals n other sectors of Uttarakhand on the lines of Delhi.
Though the hectic campaigning of Congress n BJP with Aaya Ram Gaya Ram politics on a hectic mode with leaders of both parties changing sides, it seems that the people are fed up with both the parties having been exposed of their ill Conceived notions and not coming true to the expectations of these parties during the last two decades.
There seems to be an undercurrent in some constituencies in favour of AAP say political analysts and may surprise one and all on May 10, the day, election results would be declared.
The Congress candidate from Gangotri is Vijay Pal Singh and from BJP
Meanwhile senior former IPS officer K. S. Jangpangi while expressing his serious concern over the incessant changing of parties by politicians wrote : Politics has turned topsy turvy in UK. Never before have we seen such crossing over of leaders from Congress to BJP and vice versa on the eve of elections. This is very sad and ominous development for politics in UK. This is because of various factors. One; ideology has ceased to be the main plank of political affiliations and commitment. Secondly; every one in all political parties are aiming at their personal Aggrandizement rather than political ideology and principles to govern their personal political behavior. Thirdly; the decline of political leadership to hold their flock together in the face of emerging challenges from grass root political workers. Fourthly; absence of internal democracy in political parties. Fifthly; opaque system of candidate selection by high command. Sixthly; grass root committed workers being sacrificed / sidelined for outsiders and family members and finally the political system has become the vehicle for personal advancement rather than vehicle for public good and welfare. One can see all these tenndencies at it’s zenith in Uttarakhand. It sad but true.
