A village woman grievously injured by a wild bear attack in Pabo block, Pauri Garhwal

Yet another heartwrenching news have come in from Pabou block’s Khadli village where a woman has been severely attacked by a wild bear. The village woman Jyoti had gone to he nearby jungle to collect fodder ( cut grass,leaves ) for the cattles. The wild bear all of a sudden pounced on her injuring her face and other front portion of her body. Since her condition was extremely critical she was taken to the Max hospital at Dehradun via helicopter ambulance. The dreaded incidents of wild bear attacks are on the increase with maneater attacks also on the spike. Just yesterday and day before two children below aged five have become the prey of the maneater leopards roaming around freely near the human habitats in Garhwal and Kumaon regions of Uttarakhand with forest and wild life department proving to be completely futile.
