A TRAGIC ACCIDENT IN JOSHIMATH BLOCK KILLS 12 PERSONS WHEN A, SPEEDING MAX FELL 500 METRES DOWN IN A GORGE
A severe tragedy has occurred in Joshimath block of Chamoli district of Garhwal Uttarakhand today when a Max vehicle with 21 persons fell down in a deep gorge 500 metres below killing 12 persons instantly and injuring others grievously.
According to the latest news this heart wrenching accident occurred at 3.30 PM in Chamoli district’s JOSHIMATH block when a Max vehicle overloaded with over 21 persons met with an accident falling in a deep gorge 500 metres below taking several acrobatics killing 12 persons on the spot with grievously injured four admitted to primary health center.
This tragic accident occurred in Joshimath Block of Chamoli district on Urgam Palla Jakhola Marg.
The chief minister of Uttarakhand has while expressing his deepest condolences has sanctioned Rs 2 lakh to each of the dead and Rs 50 thousand to the injured.
The former chief minister of Uttarakhand Harish Rawat has in a tweet in Hindi paid his tributes to the deceased and condolences to the bereaved family writing : Today evening at Joshimath block of Chamoli district on Urgam Palla Jakhola motor marg a tragic accident has occurred in the evening in which 11 persons have died and four grievously injured. The injured have been admitted to the primary health centre. The van was carrying 14 to 15 persons. May the Almighty render place to the departed souls at His pious feet tweeted Harish Rawat.
