A speeding boat which was to collide with another in Alaknanda river fortunately over crossed it in extreme speed with few tourists falling in the river saved afterwards. Tragedy averted



Two tourist boats carrying tourists enjoying their boat rides in Alaknanda near Dhari village, Dhari Devi temple few kilometres away from Srinagar Garhwal were likely to hit each other though one boat on a speed did came towards another boat full of passengers likely to collide head on but fortunately it over crossed the boat rubbing the heads of the tourists and some being offloaded with tremendous pressure, falling in the Alaknanda river.

According to the latest reports no one is seriously injured though the detailed factual report about the safety of the tourists on board is expected shortly.

According to the latest news due to the 330 Megawatt Srinagar GVK company electric Hydropower project there is accumulated water of Alaknanda river around the Dhari Devi temple where boats with tourists sail frequently as in the THDC dam.

Today when tourists with all the necessary safety measures were travelling in two motor boats, one of them in a speed perhaps not controllable by the boat driver headed towards another boat with tourists terrified in shrieks likely to crash but fortunately it overlapped the other boat with the lower portion fastly crossing over the heads of the tourists on the lower boat with some tourists of both the motor boats falling in the river Alaknanda with tremendous force though rescued thereafter safely, immediately.

Just imagine, had there been a little bad luck both the boats in speed would have crushed creating an explosion with major casualty of several tourists creating a heartwrenching scene.

There is a hindi phrase : JAAKO RAKHE SAAIYAAN MAAR SAKE NA KOI”, WHEN GOD IS WITH YOU NO BODY CAN HARM YOU.
