A sad day for democracy says Arvind Kejrival. AAP planning to approach Supreme Court against the passing of the GNCTD amendment bill.

The AAM Admi Party is planning to approach the Supreme Court of India against the passing of the Government of NCT of Delhi Amendment Act from both the houses of parliament terming it a saddest day in Indian democracy, allegedly making the Delhi government administratively impotent.

Several BJP leaders and Delhi’s chief and deputy chief minister Arvind Kejrival and Manish Sisodia including the AAP’s Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh have strongly denounced the BJP led union government for arbitrarily passing the bill taking away the peoples’ power.

In a tweet chief minister Arvind Kejrival wrote : Rajya Sabha passes GNCTD amendment Bill. Sad day for Indian democracy. We will continue our struggle to restore power back to the people. What ever the obstacles, we will continue doing good work. Work will neither stop not slow down tweeted Arvind Kejrival. Strongly criticizing and condemning the BJP led NDA government terming passing of the Bill in Rajya Sabha on Wednesday as emergence of the Black Day Delhi’s deputy CM Manish Sisodia tweeted in Hindi : Today is the black day for the democracy. The constitutional power of the Delhi government have been arbitrarily snatched and given to the LG. See the “Vidambana” for democracy’s assassination, parliament has been chosen which is the temple of our democracy.

The people of Delhi will relentlessly fight against this dictatorship tweeted Manish Sisodia. AAP’s vociferous Rajya Sabha member of parliament Sanjay Singh who had been extremely vocal in raising his voice during the passing of this bill in the upper house tooth and sail has posted his vedio tweeting as per the ANI : I seek justice for the 2 crore people of Delhi, for 130 cr Indians, to seek justice from all the members to save the Constitution. I tell all members – We will be here only if Constitution is there says the ANI tweet with Sanjay Singh’s vedio.

It may be recalled that the GNCTD amendment bill brought by the BJP led NDA in Lok Sabha was passed on Monday. It was passed in the upper house after witnessing uprorious scenes with AAP, Congress, YS Rajshekhar Reddy Congress, etc vociferously opposition the passing of this bill accusing the govt of imposing dictatorship in Delhi disregarding the constitutional powers of a democratic elected government, but instead of voting against the bill walked out in protest. The AAM Admi Party is planning to approach the Supreme Court in the near future to seek justice in this regard.
