A pickup driver died on the spot after the pick up he was driving lunged into a ravine
Uttarakhand has indeed become a synonym of fatal accidents where not a day is passed without deadly accidents. You read a newspaper next morning and you will read the news of deaths through accidents in either Garhwal or Kumaon and that too on the village roads where vehicles fall into deep gorge killing its occupants on the spot. Just today yet another tragedy occured in Dehradun, the capital uf Uttarakhand where a Puck up driver has died in he spot after it plunged into a deep gorge.
According to a tragic news coming in, from Dehradun district of the state today on Wednesday a pickup vehicle fell into a deep ditch near Laldhang on Kothi Dachhadi Road in Dakparthar Deb, due to which the driver died on the spot.The incident occurred while the pickup truck was traveling on the road. It suddenly lost balance and plunged into a deep ravine, reaching a river about 200 meters below. The accident was so devastating that the vehicle was completely destroyed.
After receiving information from the Kalsi police station, the SDRF team immediately rushed to the scene. Upon arriving at the scene, the team assessed the situation and, using ropes, descended into the ditch to begin a rescue operation. After considerable effort, the vehicle was reached and the trapped victim was extricated, but by then it was too late.
